Sal's is exceptional and I cannot recommend it enough. My family has been going to the original Provincetown location for over 45 years and we were so excited to learn they had a pop-up in Los Angeles. We were welcomed with above and beyond service and a sense of comfort. We had the meatballs as a starter and the clam pasta- both were absolutely incredible. This restaurant was ever better than I remembered. This was truly one of the best dining experiences that I have had in LA.

Super cute, small seasonal restaurant out of Provincetown, MA. The handwritten menus are so charming. Their cocktails are fantastic and come out quickly. We ordered the Caesar, tuna crudo, shrimp scampi, salmon, and lobster pasta. I would get everything again next time. The crudo is a must-get! The service is 10/10. *Please note it’s cash-only.

there’s nowhere else like it in LA. simply the best.from the moment you are “welcomed in” by the iconic proprietor Siobhán and maitre d’ Samuel, you will be met with inventive floral arrangements, wonderful people of all persuasions, nuanced wines and libations, and most importantly, the delectable food: coastal Italian classic fare with a few twists.this is the perfect spot for a romantic date or a big group, where hours will fly by over friends and conversation.

Vegetarian options: they can make any of their pastas without meat or seafood and have lots of great vegetable sides and salads

Dietary restrictions: gluten free pasta available

Parking: street parking on robertson, always enough spots

I came here with my girlfriend for her birthday. The service was amazing. They were so attentive and nice. Food came out in time and they recommended great dishes. Fantastic music and they gave us the best table. Best hospitality you can find in LA. We ate Pasta Vongole, halibut, Caesar salad and tiramisu. Every dish was delicious.

This is currently Sal’s of Provincetown (MA) pop-up and it is exceptional all around; food, staff, atmosphere, and service. You must go! My favorite dining experience in southern CA.

This is a Sals of Provincetown (ma) pop up. My boo adores the original and we've had a couple amazing dinners there on the beach over the past few years. Boo said she actually recognized the maitre'd from our last visit. We went on the season finale of drag race AND the first night of Coachella so it was pretty quiet at first. It's a small set up, maybe ten tables and a small bar area. Anyway the food was good, the vibe was immaculate and boo said her spirit was lifted after a hard week toiling in the salt mines of the cultural industrial complex. Please note this place is all cash and you should budget over 100 a person for dinner and drinks, and if you aren't getting drinks what are you even doing here.

Best Italian meal we had while out in LA. SOOOO GOOD. Everyone there was very friendly and nice to us. My wife got the artichoke fettuccine and I got chicken Parm. Both were incredible. 10/10 really cute small place. Old school talian restaurant vibes. Great aesthetic

Could not recommend this amazing restaurant more! Every single person working there are a dream and so friendly, helpful, considerate and welcoming. The food is AMAZING, we each had three courses and are still talking about how delicious everything was. The ambience and decor are perfect too. We are from out of town but will definitely be back the next time we are in the city. Do yourself a favour and go, you won’t be disappointed.

The mussels are ok, the lobster salad is so so. Overall, it's overpriced for the quality. The dessert is ok. Although, the service is good. The good thing is not super busy, you can simply walk in.

So much fun tonight. This place is like a who's who of 1960, 1970s LA. Love the artichoke names after Robert Day...and the chicken Milanese..

Dinner was unbelievably good. We had no reservations, the hostess fit us in. Being from out of town, they treated us well, and we felt at home. Rod Stewart came in while we were eating. The owner came to us and said he hoped we enjoyed everything. I wish I would have introduced myself to Rod Stewart, maybe he could use a good printer! Lol, Roc n Ron from PrintRoc!

Probably my most favorite Italian restaurant in Los Angeles... Maybe even the Western US. It's quaint. Like you're eating somewhat in a forest. It's not big, so make sure you make a reservation. You never know who will be sitting next to you or across from you. Just don't get weird if superstars just show up randomly. But that's not why to go. You wanna go for the risotto. With braised short ribs on top. (spicy chili flakes) or even the bolognese if you wanna just go simple and hearty. Or the frito misto appetizer with the perfect crunch and crispness of the calamari and onions. The clams... I hardly eat clams. But the clams pasta dish they have is great too. The restaurant is expensive. But it's special. Or if you just want to spoil yourself for a dinner night out. It's worth it. Take a date there. It's romantic. It's not flashy from the outside like other restaurants in the area. This one feels very private and intamite once you go through the curtains. If Kristi is working, ask if you can seat with her. Shes great. They're all great!
