This place is 10 stars!!! I almost want to gate keep this hidden gem to myself... but I won't :P The minute you walk in, you feel so welcomed and right at home. This is the type of restaurant we are missing in LA. The food, people and ambience are EXTRAORDINARY. Can't explain the energy here, you just need to experience it. They're in town 8 months out of the year and spend their summer in Provincetown. Siobhan and Sam are the best hostesses!! You've officially got a regular at Sal's ;) CASH ONLY!!

Go! Great food, fun & energy. Make a reservation and bring cash. Like the ol' days, but new and special. Enjoy!

Amazing food - we tried the Caesar, tuna crudo, shrimp scampi and lobster allá vodka. Everything was fantastic. And the tiramisu dessert is a MUST. Service was lovely!

Sal's is exceptional and I cannot recommend it enough. My family has been going to the original Provincetown location for over 45 years and we were so excited to learn they had a pop-up in Los Angeles. We were welcomed with above and beyond service and a sense of comfort. We had the meatballs as a starter and the clam pasta- both were absolutely incredible. This restaurant was ever better than I remembered. This was truly one of the best dining experiences that I have had in LA.

Super cute, small seasonal restaurant out of Provincetown, MA. The handwritten menus are so charming. Their cocktails are fantastic and come out quickly. We ordered the Caesar, tuna crudo, shrimp scampi, salmon, and lobster pasta. I would get everything again next time. The crudo is a must-get! The service is 10/10. *Please note it’s cash-only.

This is a lowkey fancy Italian restaurant that places much thought into the customer experience. Beautiful semi-sheer curtains instead of walls, handwritten menus, servers who genuinely care, food that tantalizes the tastebuds, and a mellow ambiance that is full of life. Let me tell you: this fare was absolutely DIVINE! I was immediately sat down with a warm plate of toasted bread that was well-seasoned. The simple side of olive oil was surprisingly prominent and complimented the bread. The server offered me a non-alcoholic drink, with notes of pear and fennel, called Secret Garden since I can't drink (it was not on the menu); it had a floral, herbaceous, and citrusy taste. The lobster alla vodka has very generous portions of meat that includes crab. The sauce was creamy, slightly tangy, and bursting with flavor. Noodles were cooked to perfection. The tiramisu was light and fluffy, and a perfect way to end the meal. Only con is that it's cash only so come with a good amount. Summary: If you're looking for good food and good vibes, this is your place. It's perfect for a date night, girls night out, and "me date". They're only here until June so come soon!

there’s nowhere else like it in LA. simply the best.from the moment you are “welcomed in” by the iconic proprietor Siobhán and maitre d’ Samuel, you will be met with inventive floral arrangements, wonderful people of all persuasions, nuanced wines and libations, and most importantly, the delectable food: coastal Italian classic fare with a few twists.this is the perfect spot for a romantic date or a big group, where hours will fly by over friends and conversation.Vegetarian options: they can make any of their pastas without meat or seafood and have lots of great vegetable sides and saladsDietary restrictions: gluten free pasta availableParking: street parking on robertson, always enough spots

I came here with my girlfriend for her birthday. The service was amazing. They were so attentive and nice. Food came out in time and they recommended great dishes. Fantastic music and they gave us the best table. Best hospitality you can find in LA. We ate Pasta Vongole, halibut, Caesar salad and tiramisu. Every dish was delicious.

Run don't walk to this delicious hidden gem Excellent and delightful service. Everything was so yummy. The shrimp scampi perfectly cooked. The white fish tender and flaky. Their tuna crudo was fresh with a different take and The Caesar salad just right. The lobster vodka and vongole pasta so light and disappeared quickly. We ended with their cheesecake which was fluffy and not too sweet. They nailed it and the space is a little tucked away spot that has a lovely vibe. George took care of us and we had that family feeling of being in someone's home being cooked for by people who really care. It is a thoughtful menu where it was hard to decide but we were thrilled with what we order and ready to return and try everything else. The cocktails were sooo good. Ps acoustically it's amazing not loud where you can hear each other. We were blown away and we are a tough crowd not easily impressed. We will pass on the word and return before they leave. A must try.

The dishes were incredible, the ambiance was perfect, and everyone was treated like family. Sam was perfection and the cherry on top! Will return.

This is currently Sal’s of Provincetown (MA) pop-up and it is exceptional all around; food, staff, atmosphere, and service. You must go! My favorite dining experience in southern CA.

My mom popped in after hearing great things from a good friend and was greeted by Siobhan who prepared 2 hot meals Togo . The rosemary roasted chicken and harissa green beans were delicious. We're looking forward to going again for another excellent meal. Lovely people and wonderful meal.

A good friend of mine picked me up yesterday to carpool to Palm Springs for the weekend, but as we punched in our destination address, we saw that the 10 was "tenning" extra hard, that there were a few accidents, and our arrival time leaving LA during rush hour would be better measured with a calendar than a clock. If you've lived in LA more than about three days, you know this exact "shopping mall parking lot" vibe and it is no fun whatsoever. He asked if I was hungry, and I was... and asked if I'd ever been to Sal's Place, one of the most popular restaurants in Provincetown, and I had not. Truth be told, I haven't even been to Provincetown yet, much less sampled what I've now learned is pretty much the pinnacle of their local culinary scene. He abruptly made a right turn and headed towards Robertson Blvd.... telling me that Sal's Place just opened a location in West Hollywood, still in pop-up form, in the old location of Il Piccolino, just up the block from The Ivy. The owners were fun and friendly, and I also liked the interactions with the staff - clearly all familiar and comfortable with one another - respectful and playful yet professional and attentive. A hard balance to keep, even with the right people, whom they've clearly employed. The setting was covered garden patio and very comfortable. I asked the owner her preference for cocktails and before you knew it, a little pink tequila-based cocktail (with a hint of jalapeño) was placed in front of me, refreshing and delicious. Every single dish was better than the last. Shrimp Scampi w/ rustic sourdough was flawless. The tuna crudo the freshest I've had, by far. The caesar salad had the richest and most savory dressing I've tasted. My friend's Rosemary Roasted Chicken looked so good that had his attention lapsed for even a moment, he'd have returned his gaze and wondered where half of it disappeared. Even the simple dessert of walnuts and chocolates somehow complimented everything that preceded it. Loved the vibe, the staff, the cocktails, the salads, the entrees, the desserts, the everything. I'm 100% returning with a date, later this month. It was truly one of the best places I've been in LA in a very, very long time!
