Nachos are a must.
Drama free.
I left WEHO for a long time. I was SO happy to find The Abby still there. It's spacious with several dance floors, the food is fabulous, the DJ is electrifying... I heard a remix of Telephone that shot chills down my spine! If you're in WEHO .... GO!
Legacy Gay Club in West Hollywood… dj’s are active most nights of the week and they are always open late.

This used to be my favorite place in your early 2000's, because I was an exotic dancer then. Love the decorations and excellent bartenders.

Entrance is free. Parking is not free. Great place to hang out and dance. Drinks are too expensive.

My favorite place in LA. Best atmosphere in the city. And one of the best chicken salads.

Been going to the abbey since 2008. One of my favorite hangout spots and usually there during the day or early evenings for cocktails and/or eats. Food is always good but waaay over priced now. It’s not Mastros but price is the same. Drinks are hit or miss and standard drinks on menu can be made wildly different each time you order. Example mojitos sometimes muddled, sometimes not. Sometimes have splash of dark rum and sometimes do not. You just don’t know each time you order one.
Atmosphere is nice because of the large outdoor space and music isn’t blasting like it is most places.
Service is one of the absolute worst around. Staff is usually friendly (not always) but almost always inattentive. You’ll often arrive and have to wait for ever to have a server come by. Many times you’ll have to get up and ask for a server. Meal orders sometimes wrong. If you ask to split a check (before ordering) many times told you can’t or you get an obvious eye roll to make it clear to you that it’s putting them out to create two separate checks for a table.
Drag shows are nice and all but for locals it ruins the weekends at Abbey. Same performers week after week after week. Both sat and Sundays is a drag show so weekend during the day have been taken over by that. Because of this the patrons are a lot of straight women from out of town and doesn’t feel as much as a gay bar that it used to be. Feels very touristy now on the weekend days. Weekends during the day used to be very busy and packed in a fun way, but it’s often now half full. Just isn’t what it used to be unfortunately.
Maybe with new ownership it will change and hope it does.

I went to this club 13 years ago and was roofied. I had two vodka cranberry drinks. Two. That's it. I only remember bits and pieces of that night. I came here visiting from out of state. I had my phone, shoes, and bra stolen and was left to the lot next door. I woke up and my head was SO foggy. It took hours to get my head clear and come up with a game plan to locate the people I was visiting. I had to go to a rape treatment center where they found things of a date rape. I'll never forget this place. And looking at reviews led me to finally leave mine because these things are STILL happening. Something is legally and morally wrong with this place. I hope it eventually gets shut down so nobody else has to live with the trauma I've lived with the last 13 years. Shame on the owners. Shame on you for having such foul things happening and knowing and allowing it continue. You will reap what you sow. And for the survivors that have had this happen to, I hope you eventually heal. Because again, after 13 years, I'm still trying to heal.
I tried to hit the Abbey when I go out to LA. It's a good meeting point. I love the chapel and the vibe that can happen. However, this time some of the bartenders were very rude. I asked for a Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand and he said I don't know where it's from. I don't think we have New Zealand then he gave me a menu and I had Kim Crawford, which is obviously from New Zealand. You would think they would know what the hell they're serving. I know they have a lot of issues but I've met some people so I'll keep going back but I think they definitely need a better vibe with some of their workers.
Parking: Find a paid meter on the street is probably the best
