“WHERE DO ALL THE LOCALS GO? 5th Star for the great tequila selection as we decided on Mexican because our dinner was on National Margarita Day. Those who know me will be saying "That Terry.... Any Excuse for a good adult beverage". And you know what? They are correct. Here is my story: Altos Cantina was selected as it was in good proximity to our hotel and convenient enough for the Sacto folk joining us. Altos is a local establishment; parking plentiful and atmosphere friendly and comfortable. They also have patio dining which would be great in the spring and summer. Service is excellent from the moment you walk in to the Establishment. Now about the food. Be careful not to over order as portions are HUGE. Guacamole made fresh on each order. Tortilla chips are also home made. Be sure to try the double fried french fries nachos. A definite repeat for me next time I'm there.“
“This place definitely caught my attention. The staff was a bit slow due to only having 1 server / bartender. She was very polite and made sure we were taken care of. The food came out quick and was spot on. The loaded fries were ok , didn't have any flavor on them. The duck burger was extremely good and I would recommend that over any of the other burgers. My daughters chicken strips were extremely over cooked. Over all it was a great experience.“
“Killer vibe here, walked in to grab a couple of beers, and it got packed shortly after we arrived. I'm so glad we had good seats at the bar. Staff are friendly and fast! Ended up staying a lot longer than expected due to they were showing the UFC fights for free! Had a really good time! All the food looked really good and super fresh.“
“Trading with a trusted account manager is what can make your dreams come through. For me Mrs Mariel Ramsey has the best trading strategies to win. I never believed on any post recommending online trading until I gave a try and the outcome was great for me. Making $7,750 out of $1000 was a whole lot of profit for me.“
“Went there for our first time and it was fantastic! Make reservations, which we didn't know we needed. However, there was a seats at the bar which is perfect for us. The bartender recommended food and we accepted, and so pleased we did! Calamari, prawn linguine and sausage linguine. His service and response time was impeccable. We also added the house wine to our meal which was a very good cab. No tap beers...the tappers were all fake and just for the look. Lol. Overall....we will be returning!“
“So today my friend and I came in, to chill and have drinks. And before hand I drank beer that I must've had an allergic reaction to ( for context some gluten based drinks makes me go out into allergic shock) The bartender Wes was exceptional and ran to give me a Benadryl, and was so sweet and checking in on us. So shoutout to him, he acted fast and was a very great bartender!“
“Friendly neighborhood brew pub with an Indian flair. I recently had the beer-battered fish and chips, which were some of best I’ve eaten; quite tasty. The fish is nice and flaky; not greasy. The service is warm, accommodating, and efficient. I look forward to trying their Tandoori dishes during my next visit.“
“Came here to try em out again after having a great experience 3 months ago then a lackluster experience 2 months ago. They had the PPV and its audio on unlike the last time I came by where they had the PPV but no audio. Customer service has improved quite a bit. Their food still tastes really good and it's fun when a bunch of other people are getting into the various sports they have playing on the TVs. I tried their Philly along with chicken strips and fries. Both were bomb. Also enjoyed a beer and cocktail. The only things I wasn't a fan of were the food times and lack of beer variety. Mine and my buddy's food was really good but it seemed like they took a really long time to cook it. Not sure how many cooks they have in the kitchen. It also seems like the beer menu doesn't change/rotate that much which isn't bad but it would be nice to enjoy some beers from nearby breweries. Still going to enjoy chilling here for future events.“
“Pros-Mango Margarita was amazing tastes just like a mangoyada-Beer options and selection were great definitely try the blueberry muffin flavor while it lasts-Jacob and Vanessa the bartenders made our evening so much fun. They were so sweet and attentive we had a blast with them.“
“What a gem of a place! Great atmosphere, great drinks and food. Very enjoyable spot to hang out and/or meet up with friends. New ownership is making significant changes in turning this place around from what it was and it’s definitely noticeable. Keep up the good “
“While waiting for dinner reservations close by, I found this cool spot that serves ciders, beers and finger food. This used to be the “Cider House” that served poke bowls. I was really surprised on how tasty their ciders were here, that I ordered more than what I should have. It is like drinking juice ? soooo good! The staff were friendly, attentive and I really enjoyed the cozy relaxed vibe and they have outdoor seating and bar games. Will definitely return to try their food!!! Two thumbs up!“
“Ramon and Deryn are crafting some of the best cocktails in town right now. Nothing over the top or pretentious, just well balanced drinks with great flavor. Definitely still the spot for great cocktails and good food.Old review:Megan leads the absolute best team. Terrie, Haley, Crispy, Ramon, Tim, Deryn, Emily. They are the nicest people with the best attitudes in the service industry. Flo absolutely kills it in the kitchen. Come here for great cocktails and food.“
“Had the quesabirria taco with consume. SO GOOD! Our waiter was very kind and had a great personality. Went with family members for a "girls lunch" on a Saturday. Very family friendly. One ordered the birria ramen (bomb), another the flautas (just ok), and the last had the shrimp cocktail (yum). We had a great experience and will definitely be back :)Parking: If you miss the entrance, turn the corner and there's plenty in the back of the building.Kid-friendliness: Very family friendly“
“I came here for the first time to watch the superbowl this past Sunday, it was great. The food is good the waitresses are great, we also met the owner and he was very welcoming and nice, my husband shared a drink with him. We love that it is dog friendly in the patio area as well! This is a great place to watch any sports as there are multiple TVs and projectors.“
“We ate at their downtown location on a Saturday. Parking was hard to find since there was an event nearby. Service was quick. Interior was clean and modern. We were waiting for our party to join us but they ended up at their Natomas location. We had quail (a bit over done, meat was dry), green papaya salad (delicious), and scallops (a bit spicy for me, who can't handle any heat).“
“Ever felt like a place is semi in between fancy or casual. The service is a one man show for front of house, so I could imagine how back of house operates. Its last management was very accommodating to the regulars and first timers. This is my third time coming to this establishment. The food is made in a decent time of waiting and drinks. The menu has all you can think about. And the service is good just need them to pick which one. On the other hand the T.v 's are always on a good game.“
“Food was delicious we had a party of 9 and everyone loved it. The menu is much smaller right now than it apparently used to be; definitely very little in terms of options for children beyond pizza. Great place to watch a game and grabs drinks with higher quality food than the average pub. Waitress did hear my order wrong but they corrected it quickly and my food came out pretty fast. Would recommend.Kid-friendliness: Kids welcome but not very many food options for kids.“
“Very good oysters. Prolly best in the area. We also had calamari, garlic fries, frog legs, and chicken wings. If I were rating oysters only, I'd give 5 stars. The calamari was OK as was rest of cooked food. The menu does look pretty neat and I'd like to try other options too.Maybe next time I will try the hot pot. I bet it's pretty good.Service was fantastic. Place is clean and open. Not cozy or anything, but kinda generic. I wouldn't go for the ambience, but I go here every time I'm in the area because the oysters are so good.“
“The lamb gyro is excellent! Nóstimo! Highly recommended! The authentic flavors takes me back to Greece. The portions are as big as the flavors. Huge bar seating and libations to quench your thirst. Kostas was behind the bar providing lively conversation of the motherland and great service. If you're looking for a true taste of Greece, you can't go wrong with Buck Fizz. Absolutely would recommend. I'll definitely be coming back!“
“Man what can I say about this spot I came to there Sunday comedy night and got a chance to rip it.. the Apollo ain't got nothing on a touch of class.. they let me know I was funny and I love em for it... ohhh the food is ? and club was jamming #muchlove and big ups to Rico the great,Andre and “
“The people here were so nice I had to leave a review. Super awesome bar! We accidentally found this place walking around and were blown away. Felt like i was back in Japan. The whole bar was lit up and the djs were playing some sick underground house. They also have private vip rooms! Totally recommend this place.“
“Always a great experience! Whether it's just me and my husband or the whole family, we always enjoy our meal at Oshima Sushi. Nice bar and dining areas. Love the music and sports atmosphere. Great food! We love the sushi boat options, sushi rolls, fresh oysters, and drinks. Good service too! Nice birthday dessert!!!“
“Burger was delicious, but the steak fries needed some work. Beer was cold and reasonably priced, but the bartender had a wee attitude. Loved the reggae night DJ, especially the opening guy! The outside patio is where it's at. The bouncers were also very good.I would definitely go back!“
“My neighborhood bar. Nothing but love and friends that turned into familia. Friday night is my night. Mario and Alex on the 1's and 2's playing all the old school jams. All the OG's attending the pool tournament. Greatest bar tenders.“
“If you are looking for a neighborhood bar, minus a look when you walk in from all the "locals" which is typically, unwelcoming (personal experience from other local jaunts), then Tallac is your reprieve. The staff is friendly, as well as the regular patrons. Great drinks, clean, friendly staff and patrons...what more could you want or need. Enjoy.“
“First time here. Got there right at opening. The place is nice and clean, the music was so-so, but I'm probably not the typical patron. The selection of games was good, but the condition of many of the game controls made gameplay less fun than it could have been. I'll definitely go back and I'll recommend it to friends for the right occasion. I Mentioned a game issue to one of the bartenders and they were quick to offer replacement quarters. The food/drink service was fast and friendly.“
“I’ve been here a few times and it’s always a good experience. There is a large selection of beers (including quite a few dark beers) and many of the beers on tap are local. I’ve had many items from the food menu and I’m always pleasantly surprised by how good the food is. It’s not your average bar food. The only thing that could be improved is that sometimes the food service can be a little slow, but it’s always worth the wait.“
“Food was good--had a turkey burger and a bloody mary. Our server was super friendly and funny. Nice, low-key, casual neighborhood joint. Haven't been here since the olden days when it was all about the breakfast. I understand they've recently opened a little nightclub scene on the weekends.“
“Love that they open late . They are next to a casino too . Not from here but my bestie brought me here for a small late night snack . Didn't disappoint .. we got the papaya salad ans bruu two pepper was spicy already idk I usually get three and damn it was hot . Got kaboom too and sausage. .. gonna have to try it again when I come back into town“
“I went to hilltop tavern to play pool and I was pleasantly surprised that not only do they have a good pool table but also a dart board, shuffle board and pingpong table! This bar is so fun and really nicely decorated. I imagine it might get pretty crowded some nights though because it's not super big. I also ordered a margarita and it was one of the best I've had! They made it packed full of lime flavor with a good rim of salt. 5/5 bar!“
“Came here after a white party. .Had some good drinks here and surprisingly it's better than the over price drinks at the fancy place near by. .I got a Hendricks gin and tonic, cost me 8 bucks. My friend got a Malibu sunset for 6 bucks. We loved our drinks. The price point is affordable too. .The ambiance was chill. It wasn't crowded and we enjoy the vibe. We felt great, had a good time and left. They take credit card too which is a plus..Overall come here for some good strong drinks before going to a fancy place. They have a full bar here so you can enjoy all your drinks. Hope this review help, thanks for reading and have a yelptastic day!“
“First and foremost the place it's self is ran under the most uplifting management and staff !!! The relaxed ambiance of the bar and grill is popular with guest. What's starting to stand out even more is there KITCHEN the cooks are uping there game and here to serve you. And you can't forget a drink, bartenders in standby.“
“Best food in Midtown. No bag o' lettuce salads here everything is housemade and delicious. Best burgers in Sacramento. Have the Limelite Cobb salad with bleu cheese - huge excellent! Dine in the bar and enjoy the people watching, or scan the flatscreens if evesdropping isn't your thing. Always an intense group of gamblers at the tables in the casino area.“
“Came in right when they opened so there wasn't a line and food came out fast. The interior decor is very nice, but I was focused in the food!Walk in and order your food up front. They deliver to your table when done. I was so excited to try the black garlic ramen which was loaded with black garlic (not just black garlic oil like other ramen places). The chicken karaage was really yummy but wish they provided more sauce. There was ample food to take leftovers home. I actually ate my ramen leftovers at work for lunch (sorry not sorry to my coworkers for the overbearing yet delicious smell of garlic I'm the breakroom! Lol“
“We came for the atmosphere! But was amazed by the good food also. I got the pot roast and it was truly one of the best I've tasted in years. So I would highly recommend! Also the drinks were good as well. We came on st. Patty's day so they had a lot of green drinks. The one pictured was called the Scooby Doo, it was a rum drink. Also I had to get my staple Guinness :) all in all we came for the atmosphere but stayed for the food!“
“One of my favorite places to watch a game, have a beer, or mixed drink, and enjoy the yummy bar food! One of my go-tos is their wings, as they are well seasoned and have a perfect crunch. I order them mild here because when I ordered medium the first time, I just couldn't eat them due to the heat! Grant it, I don't eat too spicy, but those that do agree their medium is very spicy. You can also order them naked, which the kiddos love. Oh and don't forget the fries! So good. Service has always been solid. When it gets busy, please bring your patience as there's usually only one bar tender, and they do their best to get to you, but it can take time to get them to take your drink/food order, but I promise it's still worth it. No matter how busy they are, they friendly friendly, and their mixed drinks are spot on. They make a delicious White Tea shot, which I normally don't do, but it's so good, I just sip it and enjoy it. Every time I am here I have a great time because everyone seems to be having a great time. I believe the lighting helps, as it's not too bright or too dim...to me, it's relaxing.“
