Very good drinks and selection of desert!
Packed every time. Good selection of desserts. Limited seatings.
An Americanized Vietnamese sweet soup shop. The line is long, but the wait is worth it. Most people buy take-out, but there are also groups trying to find a seat that fits their size. The atmosphere is very peaceful. There are groups of children and even the elderly, sometimes whole families come here to gather. The dishes are very lively from different types of sweet soup, such as taro sweet soup, cassava sweet soup, durian sweet soup, corn sweet soup, green bean dessert, black bean sweet soup, mixed sweet soup, etc. Both Vietnamese and Americans or Mexicans can choose their suitable dishes. There are seats inside and outside the shop, but at night, it seems a bit cold. People eat and laugh happily. Although quite a few homeless people are begging for money outside. However, this is still a place worth visiting
Great variety of Vietnamese desserts. Lots of choice for che and bite sized Vietnamese cakes. And the service from the cashier is amazing. The energy and level of service is amazing. There was a line out the door and the cashier handled the rush with a constant smile on her face.

Occupying a prominent corner in Today Plaza since 2023 Bake & Che was created by Co Huong to offer “Fresh Vietnamese Desserts” for Californians seeking a taste of her culture’s unique flavors.
Now with a second outlet in Garden Grove, a lack of available chairs at the original attesting to the concept’s popularity, guests will find a concise menu and abrupt service best suited for quick orders followed by a brief wait.
Using local Ingredients to create traditional items, the Durian Pandan Layers a well-balanced gelatin while warm Cakes save for the Palm Sugar version are mostly one-note, those ordering Bake & Che’s “House Special” best be sure they’re open to anything since the milky cup contains no less than ten things ranging from sweet to earthy and pungent.

Ordered special tea. The tea is dosed loosely and unevenly. Sometimes a cup of tea doesn't have much body. It is necessary to adjust the dosage evenly and the quality before customers will return.

Walked in, looked at the prices and walked out.
I’ve driven past Bake & Che and it’s oftentimes crowded. I tried going once, but the parking lot was completely full so I turned around.
I was finally able to go this time around. I skipped the line by ordering using their QR code. It was confusing because the numbers weren’t being called in order.
It was very crowded and we ended up waiting a long time, only to realize that we missed our number and waited longer than we needed to, though there were 3 of us and none of us heard it being called out. We went somewhere else to eat because there was no seating.
I shared a C1. House Special (Che Dac Biet) with my mom which made the price fair. Some of the items were packaged separately, which made the takeout easier.
It was pretty good; I liked the variety and the hint of durian, although it was a little sweet. Might be a bit overhyped since you can find similar Vietnamese desserts elsewhere.
