Everything was great but portion size falls short of what you get for a $14 bowl you get else where. Barely any protein, mostly broth in my bowl. Broth was extremely tasty but I'll definitely have to find something else to eat and I'm a petite girl :)Service was great, only spoke Vietnamese.

Someone who is actually Hue recommended this place to me. She said her family is very picky with their Bun Bo Hue and they only like it from here. So I had to try it out. It was definitely delicious. The flavors were all there, and you can definitely smell it as soon as you walk in the door. I really liked the Hue Cha Lua which you can tell is not just regular cha lua. I also got the Banh Beo which came in the little dishes and the topping was good and fresh. The fish Sauce was a little plain for me, but I think that's how it's suppose to be. My only complaint is that it definitely has a ton of MSG. I woke up multiple times that night gasping for water, so make sure you drink a lot of water after your meal.

Wow! What a rip-off this place is. Don't get me wrong the dishes are okay but imagine the shock I got when I looked at my receipt. This place charges $2.75 for an ice tea. If you dine at Asian restaurants you will get used to ice tea is either being free or 50 cents each with free refills. $2.75? Are you kidding me? Never again until this insane pricing is fixed!

My go to place for bún bò Huế all these years. Menu is limited as this place specializes in this dish and a few others such as banh beo and mi Quang. Service is typical for a Vietnamese restaurant. Highly recommend if this is your favorite dish.

Finally got a new Bun Bo Hue spot. I was eating at Vua Bun Bo for awhile but they changed something and it got too salty. And Ngu Binh is too spicy. I'mNot sure how I missed this place that's apparently been here for 30 years! I walked in and ordered to go. I only waited less than 5 mins and my order was ready. When hearing up at home, it's always best to stove top warm up the soup and pour the hot soup over your noodles TWICE for a delicious hot bowl. By twice , I mean dump the soup back into the pot and let it boil up again then pour back into your bowl. Microwave isn't the same. Portion is just right. Meat could be a little softer but not a deal breaker. 2 bowls for like $3x.I'll be coming back for a while as long as things stay consistent.

They charged $15 for a bowl of bun Bo but there were only 4 pieces of meat. Way too expensive.

Hubby and I were on our way to have pho today but I decided let's try some place we haven't been to yet. I always drive by this restaurant but never had time to try it. The place is nestled in a mini plaza off of Brookhurst in what looks like a little alleyway. We ordered bánh bột lọc to start and 2 bowls of the Bun Bo Hue đặc biệt special- his with beef, pork hocks, gio, and blood cubes. Mine with no blood cubes. The bánh bột lọc dough was the perfect texture of softness with the marinated pork and shrimp. We appreciated the nước chấm which had scallions and fried shallots mixed in. We were also pleasantly surprised when our bowls of bun Bo hue arrived. The broth was clean tasting and looked clear, devoid of the fat other restaurants typically have- a big plus in our book. It was also hot and steaming and redolent of the scent of lemongrass the way we make it at home. The sliced beef was soft enough but could have been a touch more tender, pork hocks cut into manageable smaller pieces for bone gnawers like me to enjoy. There could've been a few more pieces of gio included but the soft chewy noodles compensated sufficiently towards the overall heartiness of the dish. I must add that it's a clean, small restaurant with very attentive, pleasant service. My only caveat for knocking off a star was the drink prices- $5 for soda with salted plum and iced coffee. But overall we enjoyed our dining experience and this will now be our go-to spot for bun Bo hue!

Despite highly recommended by many friends, we find the Bún Bò is just ok.

This is one of many bun bo hue in Little Saigon. We ordered ban beo and bun bo hue dac biet. Ban beo was good but lacks pork belly crunchy. Bun bo hue broth was smooth and flavorful. However, the pork grind was not tender.
