I highly recommend the nigiri - it is very fairly priced. This place is definitely the best spot for Japanese sea scallops and yellowtail!

They like to seat two people in a table for four and tell the people right behind them there is a wait when there is a table for two and they can sit both parties probably won’t not go back to this place

I went here for a business meeting with someone I was meeting for the first time. We both were amazed at the quality of the fish. Just on look alone, it looked like what you would see at a high priced sushi spot. They have 50% nigiri, so salmon is like $3.99 for 2 pieces. Tuna is $4.50 for 2 pieces and the most expensive is Otoro at like $15 for 2 pieces. Typically, a 50% off sushi sign would terrify me, and I would be lying if I said i wasn't skeptical the first time I went here but I assure you, the skepticism will be long gone after you see the sushi hit the table. It tastes incredible and it was so good that after going my first time, I went again 2 more times over the course of the next 2 weeks. This sushi spot is 50 minutes from where u live in Santa Monica and I plan to absolutely return soon. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND

The service was wonderful,severs were incredibly helpful and kind. The Sushi plating was elegant and it tasted even better than it looked. The moment I entered I was immediately impressed by how welcoming the staff was. I felt very comfortable and I had an overall excellent experience.

Came here for lunch, and the food here is pretty good. I like their variety of appetizers and miso soup. Everything I ate was good, especially their giant clams and tiger shrimp sushi. The price is reasonable and their service is top notch. Our server, Trinity, was very attentive and helpful in suggesting the best dishes on the menu.

This place is so good! I'm surprised it's not popular. Definitely a hole in the wall type of place. The restaurant itself is clean and has nice decor, it looked very authentic. Service was great! Our server is very polite and attentive. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. They have a 50% discount on their sushi right now which you should take advantage of, their sushi is incredible fresh and high quality. The presentation of the food was great and appealing! The mentaiko pasta was so delicious and creamy, definitely our favorite. Really loved the miso soup as well. Make sure to give it a try!

My new go to spot for sushi near my house. Nigiris are great for the price and rolls are also very amazing. Quality fish here. Brought my friend here and she said she will definitely come back. Service is awesome as well.

DAI sushi has a good selection of fish and there nigiri is reasonably priced. It was around $106 for my friend and I and we ordered probably 30 orders of fish in total! Everything was really good and fresh, but service was just a little slow, but understandable since there was only one chef working and we ordered a lot. There was only one other customer dining in and the waitress was very attentive with any concerns or refills we had. Overall, I would come back again!
