Price depends on what level you're getting. I think vip is worth the $$. You get one set of the items in the VIP portion and unlimited of the regular items. You have 90 minutes but the last call for your table is at 60minutes. Would definitely come again if I'm in the area.

Great Japanese BBQ experience with awesome side dishes!

We had a great dinner at Shimizu!
The side dishes (especially the kimchi and seaweed salad) were fresh, flavorful, and nicely portioned.

The dipping sauces were great too — sweet soy, spicy, and sesame-based.
The grill was hot and fast, and the meats were well-marinated. Shrimp and beef were my favorites.

Service was fast and polite, and the vibe inside was cozy and modern.

Would definitely come back! Just make sure to come hungry — it’s a lot of food.

I Was Never a fan of buffet but this one stood out and reeled me in . We chose the vip price and meat choices . It’s reasonable for the price with tons of choices . The quality was decent and fresh . The servers was nice and patience with us.

This place has been on my list since it opened. I’d heard mixed reviews, but I wanted to try it for myself. I finally made it here for my birthday when my friend treated me — she even splurged on the highest tier of the all-you-can-eat Japanese BBQ & sushi menu (so sweet of her).

The ambience is nice, and the menu for the top tier is about what you’d expect — limited selection of premium items. That’s fine, but honestly? Everything ended up feeling just okay.

The service didn’t help either. It seemed like a bunch of younger staff hanging out, and while they’d help when we asked, they didn’t really have answers or explanations. No guidance, no suggestions, just kind of “figure it out yourself.” At a place charging these prices, you expect more.

Because of that, I feel like we didn’t really get the full experience — whether it was not knowing how to order, not picking the right items, or not having things explained well. It left the food and overall experience feeling underwhelming.

Afterwards, I saw posts from other people showing dishes and experiences that didn’t even look like the same place — different items, better presentation, totally different vibe. That was frustrating, because it felt like we missed out on something.

At the end of the day, it was a nice spot to hang out, and I’m glad I tried it. But at that price point? I wouldn’t come back. Maybe it’s gotten better in the past year, but based on my visit, it wasn’t worth it. Overall: underwhelming.

Expensive with 70% good food and 30% is just at okay level, quite great amount of fat in the meat in general which is totally fine for a lower price range ayce restaurant but this price is somewhat not worth it personally.
Service was great, very friendly and fast but the automatic 20% tips for party of 8 destroyed all the good impression. Tips should not be on this high percentage with the high price of the food and has nothing to do with the quality of service. This might get people disagree but other restaurants I went have higher price with the same or better service would not automatically apply this high tips percentage given the bill doesn’t align with regular tipping values. So I would not recommend this restaurant overall and want to make people aware.

Excellent service. One of the best attentive, friendly, knowledgeable, and nice group of servers (staff) I had encountered. The foods are great, fresh, great quality and quality, but is it the best in town? Somewhere up there top 50. Great decor and vibe upon entrance. Enjoyed the cocktails a lot.

Trying it for the first time, and it delivers! Meat & fish quality are fresh and great. Delicious list to choose from, having the premium tier. Server was great & helpful in choosing the best to try on the list. Ambiance is great even with small space. Tables are mostly for two with few that can go for four or five. Always have a reservation to secure a spot. Highly tecommended!

We celebrated my friend’s birthday at Himizu! We did the VIP $75 AYCE menu. The meats and sushi were so delicious, and our server was so funny and helpful. I didn’t catch his name, but our receipt says “pv v” if that helps him…

My favorite thing was the toro nigiri. It was very fatty and succulent. Even though it was a limited item, the limit was surprisingly high. We were able to order three rounds of it.

From the “AYCE” menu, we liked mostly everything. The crowd favorite was the Uni pasta - we ordered like three of those. I also really liked the crispy rice. The only thing I didn’t like was the Wagyu rice… I think it was too mushroomy for my taste.

I also wasn’t too keen of my Guava Geisha drink - kinda tasted like Pepto Bismol. But my friend’s Lychee Butterfly drink was very good.

Overall, we had a very good time at Himizu. I would come again. I think this place is better value and quality than certain other “luxury” AYCE Wagyu and seafood restaurants.

Came in on a Saturday, pretty full restaurant. Had a reservation so we were seated instantly. Our main server came over and explained the menu and we went with the VIP ($75 a person) tier. For $75, very disappointing experience. The menu says 90 minute limit but beware you only get to order food for 60 minutes. The fact that you have to cook most of the food you get makes this system almost comical. On top of that, our order was taken twice in 40 minutes, so we were already feeling stiffed throughout the middle of our meal. The cuts of meat were good, not the best I've had. Some of the appetizers were great (Scallop crudo, Yellowtail crudo) but that was it. The sushi was extremely disappointing. The rice was not cooked well and was not seasoned. They douse a lot of their items in this truffle sauce that is not great. Tastes like a lesser version of cheap truffle oil you can get from the store. Honestly, the only redeeming part of this meal was our server (I forgot his name). After he realized no one other than him was taking our order, he quickly went to his manager and got us an extra 30 minutes to eat - which we appreciated (would give 5 stars for service just for this guy). Unfortunately, it was not worth eating this subpar food for another 30 minutes so we paid and left shortly thereafter. There are much better AYCE places out there (X-Fish and I Can BBQ for starters). I can appreciate what this establishment has attempted to accomplish, however in my opinion, they were extremely far away from reaching it. Wanted to love it, forced to dislike.

I absolutely loved the experience I had here, the foot selection at the middle tier was perfect! Such a wide range of foods including sushi, bbq meats, and appetizer plates, and drinks. Our waiter helped us out with how to perfectly cooked certain meats and provided his insights. The inside of the restaurant was dark and tight, but the tables had enough space for 2 to 4 people.
