Kid-friendliness: Our server acknowledged our toddlers and provided kids water cups without waiting for us to request it.

Honestly, I had high hopes for this place but was let down. A few items on the menu were good such as the salmon crudo, yuzu scallops, seafood salad, wagyu hanger, wagyu garlic Toro. I was not a fan of the fried salmon belly because it is like biting into a fried pocket of fish oil or the short ribs. Every meat has a sweet sauce to it. I didn't notice much variety to the raw meats.

Staff was very friendly but service was terribly slow & forgetful. No one turned on the grill until they noticed we were looking to turn the dial after the food was delivered. We had to ask for the cooking instruments & sides as well because they were also never brought to us.

I wish we had a different experience because we absolutely loved another JBBQ restaurant which made us look for one local.

Spent $55 and came home HUNGRY!
Went here for an all-you-can-eat, expecting a feast, but it turned into a NIGHTMARE. As soon as I sat down, I noticed other tables were waiting for food while their trays were all empty, but I thought, "No big deal, they'll refill soon." But then the wait began. Five minutes turned into ten, then fifteen, and by thirty minutes, there was still barely any food coming out.
When the food finally did arrive, it was in tiny batches, and our group would devour it within minutes. The whole experience was like a survival game—waiting endlessly, then scrambling to grab a bite before it disappeared. And after waiting that long, the food wasn’t even worth it! Better yet, the two waiters who took our orders deliberately put in less than half of what we ordered. Definitely not the feast I was expecting and definitely not coming back.
***To the business owner: People are paying a premium for quality and experience, and they deserve nothing less. Serving subpar food, skimping on portions, or delivering poor service is not only dishonest, but it damages trust and reputation. If you can't deliver on the promise, either lower the price or raise your standards—anything else is just exploitation.

Loved everything about this place. The sushi service was slow during my visit but I hope that's not the norm

For appetizers, we had mango coconut scallops, salmon tacos, and seared salmon. They exceeded our expectation!!! The grilled meat was also good. We had sakura pork belly (unexpectedly good and didn't need the deeping sauce at all), hanger steak, and garlic beef. The bone marrow kimchi fried rice was good but a little heavy and salty for my taste. Service was fast and attentive. He made good recommendations that helped us enjoy our first time at the restaurant ?‍↕️?

First time to this Japanese restaurant, I have to say, weekdays are the best for dining in with less traffic/crowd.The happy hour specials are great as well if you want alcohol or appetizers. The food was amazing, sushi was on point, the grilled meats were perfect, just the right amount of marination.Dessert with the mochi ice cream topped it off! Both my waitresses Christina and Angie were professional and pleasant from beginning to end. Next time I shall ask them for recommendations for the best dining experience.Overall five stars for the ambience, cleanliness and great customer services. I shall come back!

Service was great, but I should add that we were there very early at 5:30pm.Dishes were delicious with beautiful presentation. I especially liked the shitake uni udon, soba branzino and the escargot. There were so many creative dishes I wouldn't recommend the grilled meats or karage. Both were good but there wasn't anything really unique about the taste. So I would suggest trying other items that are more "fusion." Also, recommend skipping the empanadas.

Give this new restaurant a try! We had amazing service, knowledgeable server it was overall a great experience. The beef carpaccio, bone marrow fried rice, and uni udon noodles are a must! The meat for grilling is high quality meat.

Takes a long time for food to come out. Ordered 6 items, four varieties of cold preparation (hamachi jalapeno, tai chan, umami chili roll, carpaccio sampler) and uni escargot, 2 empanadas that are hot preps. Hamachi came out first in fairly timely fashion. Tai chan then took awhile to come out. Sampler was next and this took nearly 20 min from when we first got the hamachi which makes little sense from kitchen operation sense as they're both cold preps and with raw slice fish (hamachi in both) and dressing. By the time we got our empanadas (4-5 min fry at best?) The entire process has taken almost an hour and we've not gotten the roll to which I cancelled. When I asked for the bill the server brought out a grill to set up at the table which we did not have...Wanted to like the place as the servers did a good job introducing the menu in the beginning but as the parties slowly started to come in after 6pm the only time the servers came were to drop off food or remove the empty plate. For what it's worth we enjoyed the hamachi (freeze dried strawberries were interesting) and the uni butter escargot and tai chan but between the kitchen possibly forgetting about the ticket, couldn't catch up, or server didn't check to see the flow of the food, not planning on returning.

This review is long wayyyyy overdue. I’ve been here about 4 times and have not been disappointed once. The customer service, atmosphere and food here is unbelievable. Such a cool vibe. You can do chef special, menu style or even Japanese bbq. The chef here is super creative and he hits my taste palate perfectly. A must try is the oysters and miso udon but everything honestly is sooooo good.Ps don’t skip out on dessert. =)
