She asked me if I needed utensils or napkins and we talked about the fact this was my first time at this establishment and she presented me with a very warm welcome. I purchased the Strawberry Cupcake (just 1). Honestly the cake looked and tasted like it was the Betty Crocker cake mix, all the way down to the little red dots in the cake that r supposed to resemble strawberries, which I won't knock Betty Crocker (a confident brand to rely on) but not when ur establishment is advertising a bakery fresh cupcake.The frosting definitely tasted like it was out of the canned frosting with the coating on the back of ur tongue and definitely not a delicious whipped or butter cream that should always accompany any dignified cupcake. It was very artificial and extremely disappointing. Especially for a $5 cupcake, that's right u read that correctly, $5! And it was the size of the small cupcakes that came out of the old standard muffin trays u have in ur kitchen from 1985. All polished off with a dot of a "canned", gelled strawberry "nugget" on top, not even a Real strawberry! This is California! The State Capital of Strawberries!Which by the way for that price I could probably swing making a whole dozen and calling it a day with leftovers.If u just want a cupcake for after lunch for a sweet or u don't want to make the box....Nahhh just go make the box!Dietary restrictions: Don't add this to ur diet.

Loved the cupcakes! They were frosted to order and the strawberry cupcake was my absolute fave! The cashier/froster was very kind and friendly. She was so quick with the icing and didn't mind all the questions we had. Thanks again :) will be back!

Sheesh. This place is so good. Delicious!!!! I got a wedding cake cupcake and didn't even make it out of the parking lot before it was gone. I mean seriously . They're 4-5$ per cake and totally worth it.

Love this bakery!! Use them for all of my party and birthday cakes. Everyone always says how delicious the cakes are (and even asks to take some home!). They've done different themes for me and I'm always so happy when I pick them up. Most recently they made a beautiful cake for my daughter's first birthday!In addition, they always work with my busy schedule and help me plan the cake design via e-mail. So helpful!!Highly recommend!

We stopped in on a whim tonight and I'm so glad we did! We tried the wedding cake cupcake, which is an almond flavored white cake and the sundae cupcake, which is a chocolate cake, and they were both really moist with the perfect amount of sweetness. I loved the almond flavoring in the wedding cake cupcake, and it was decorated really cute as well. This would be a great place to order from for a celebration as they have many flavors to choose from

Cupcake Tour - stop twoThe woman who works here is SO NICE, I gave an extra star. I loved all the cute signs, all of the cupcakes looked lucious and imaginative. We chose the Chocolate Caramel Drum ($4.75 for Signature Cupcake) and the Pink Creme Brulee ($5.25 for Specialty Cupcake).Chocolate Carmel Drum is supposed to be a play on an icecream Drumstick, which my husband and I love. But this didn't really taste like that. It was very good though, moist and chocolatey. We really liked the texture of the cupcakes here.The Pink Creme Brulee was a monthly specialty cupcake, For us the frosting was way too sweet and sugary. The cupcake itself was very moist and delicous. I think for next time, we need to get the Lemon Drop and Hot Fudge Sundae.

I ordered a birthday cake with a printed edible photo and IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT!! the cake turned out beautiful and may I add delicious. I'm all the way from Arizona and needed a cake in California and I would come here again. They were wonderful to communicate with and when I picked up the cake the baker there was so friendly highly recommend!

My wife had been hinting at wanting to try Smallcakes for quite some time. We live in Tustin and with the virus and different work schedules just hadn't made it out here. So, I finally did and of course by myself couldn't decide and wanted to surprise her, so I couldn't go wrong with a dozen! Right? Let me say they were ALL amazing. Moist, fresh, and lived up to the hype. However, my only downfall... she wanted carrot cake! She's never been a fan but, that's apparently her new favorite thanks to them. (I didn't know she had already tried them at a work event)They do custom cakes which we typically order for our niece and nephews days from local grocery stores. I saw some as they packed my order and they looked legit! Definitely earned a new customer.Thanks for small cakes!
Delicious cupcakes, but selection was extremely low. Looks like this is a family owned business struggling to stay afloat. Great tasting cupcakes for the few ones we did purchase.

Ordered a half dozen cupcakes for my birthday and they came in a sturdy cardboard box that was taped shut. It wasn't a hot day out, and I picked these up immediately as my doordasher dropped them off. All of the cupcakes were moderately to severely blemished. One of them looked like it had been dropped frosting side on the bottom of the box and just scraped off and placed back in the holder. The others looked like they had been picked up by the frosting and had finger indents around the sides/smeared the design and frosting on top. Really disappointing, and I don't think this is any fault of my dasher or any kind of heat since the box was taped shut, looked in perfect condition (didn't look dropped or anything) and it was a cool temperature outside all that day. All of the cupcakes were still placed evenly in the little holder, and no frosting smeared on the side or the top of the box, so I genuinely think the issue came with whoever placed them in the box. Only giving two stars since it was still technically edible, but will not be purchasing from this bakery again.

The best cupcakes. Never fails. Rotating seasonal cupcakes. Their cupcakes neverrr dry out. Usually always moist even until a week later and only covered with clear wrap. Worth what you pay for. GET IT! You'll love it. Also try their ice cream and cupcake combo. YUMMMM

Thank you Smallcakes! Dianna took great care of me, helping to create a beautiful cake for a baby shower. The 2 tier size was perfect for 12 people. The cake was delicious. She helped create a beautiful cake with the shower theme of muted-pastels, rainbows and the play on words with the mother's last name, Bunn ... "Bunn in the oven"Mama and guests were very pleased.With a week's notice they were also able to move the date up 11 days when there was a change to the shower date.Highly recommend for custom cake needs.

Ok so technically I fell in love with these cupcakes back in 2020 when I a friend dropped of half a dozen for my bday during the pandemic. I finally had a chance to go myself and got a dozen for my brother's birthday last Friday. Picked them up right before closing and delivered them Saturday morning. They were a hit with everyone that had one! People were saying how huge, delicious, rich, and moist they were. Plus the variety of flavors made it possible to have something for everyone. If you want to give someone something special for their bday don't hesitate on this one. Side note Friday night I got an individual Twinkie cupcake for myself, basic vanilla cupcake but so good and the frosting was delicious haha
