Food is very good. You would never think from the outside how this place is. Wanted to get some sushi for my birthday but didn't want to drive an hour to have a decent meal. Saw the ratings and they were above average. Gave it a shot and would definitely come back again. Sashimi was very good and the rolls were as well. Garlic edamame was excellent. Had a mix up with our order but made up for it by bringing us i think it albacore sashimi. Probably the best thing we had.
I bring everyone here I'm always bragging about this place the fish is always fresh John the owner is an amazing person he is very very meticulous about how service and food he serves. He even went as far as to show me how long the fish was caught before we ate it and it had only one day. The environment is awesome everyone are locals in Whittier I try to go Friday nights with the fan my son loves the sushi here so does my wife and actually my whole family must go must try...
Food and all is good. Problem is, you pay about 25% more here than for the same order at nearby sushi restaurants.
