“My very first time at Waba Grill, even though it’s been in business for quite a few years. I visited the San Pedro location on Gaffey St. While it’s hard for me to review the atmosphere since I was ordering a To Go order, the store seemed clean and safe. The counter clerk (Gerry) was extremely friendly, especially after I told him it was my first time there. I asked if he could give me a general rundown of their menu, which he did, and he was super patient when I asked a couple of stupid questions lol. The food was tasty, but overpriced for the amount given. They also need to do better on the cut of their beef, as it had some gristle. This may be the beef purchased by corporate, as opposed to the prep worker’s skill in the kitchen. My impression is that the “kitchen staff” is simply 1 or 2 employees who simply assemble and heat the menu items. Nevertheless, Gerry was a good employee to have up front since he was both friendly and helpful. I may go back to give it one more try. Good location, clean and safe, with plenty of free parking in the back parking lot, and free side street parking as well.“

“This is my first visit. This is a Chinese restaurant where you can eat lobster. In America, it's pretty much like eating lobster in a Chinese restaurant. The lobster here is sold by weight, so be careful. They have chicken made in the style of Peking duck, and it comes with 3 different parts and seasonings. I changed it up and it was quite delicious.The portions here are large, so it's a restaurant for 4 people or more.

“I'm a 27-year-old From Busan Jinseong soup lover.
It's quite clean and delicious here.
Kimchi and kkakdugi are the basics of a soup restaurant, and the basics are solid.
10 pieces of meat in soup? More than half of the soup and rice bowls were covered + Speaking of service, I guess the owner couldn't stand the water cups and side dish bowls being empty so he kept refilling them.
(However, note that there is no onion, pepper, garlic, and ssamjang sauce)
The prices are the same as other Korean restaurants in the US.

“I found my new poke spot. They have poke, ice cream, and SUSHI here! The poke is extremely fresh and the price is the lowest I could find around me. The sushi rolls are really big and fresh. My wife and I were exploring LA and staying in LA for our sixth wedding anniversary we stopped here for lunch and we loved it, I got the chicken and beef large bowel and my wife got the veggie bowl and it was delicious. “The curry is very good and not too heavy or salt. It goes very well with the poached egg and beef nikutama was very flavorful with the onions. The tempura was very soft and flaky. I've been here a couple times and loved getting the dashi broth and miso udon along with other tempura items available like the shrimp or zucchini.

There's a fair amount of seating along with outdoor seating. Plenty of parking available in the plaza with other restaurants there. The staff was nice and attentive to the items you wanted.“

Just real authentic food without all the pretense of some of the beach city places that supposedly sell "Indian" food. “It’s a small restaurant but good quality. The food is delicious & has right Vietnamese taste. For you guys who like soupy food, you should try mì Quảng or different types of bún, not just Phở. My bf is a big fan of bánh mì (Vietnamese baguette). He said this restaurant would be in his top 3 Viet bánh mì.

The only thing I was slightly disappointed in was the potato salad because it was American deli style and not Hawaiian. It was still very good though just a bit too mustardy for me. And I loved the pickled radish and carrots - wish they doled out a bit more though.“
