“I ordered the chicken nuggets. I'm disappointed because the so-called nuggets are more like popcorn chicken since they are so darn small. You're better off just getting regular chicken since the nuggets are so small. They are definitely not the size they appear on the commercial. Ugh! “GREAT chicken. Very crispy and not too heavy like some others out there. Me and my wife ordered 2 small 8 piece bone-in wings (Original Golden flavor), fries and coleslaw. The fries were some of the best I’ve had. Coleslaw was fresh & not too sweet.

My only two gripes with the food are: 1.the price) A little on the expensive end, as back home (Palmdale) we could get an eight piece combo with fries and a drink for the same price as just an 8 piece wings here alone (Korean place too). All good though, inflation hits everyone. Means we just will come here once in a while. And 2) you can only choose one marinade per wing set. Every wing spot I’ve been to allows you to do 1/2 one flavor and 1/2 another. Pretty standard practice, so I thought that was a little disappointing.

One more thing I should mention about the service: I wish the lady (she was Asian) would have suggested me and my wife share a medium (16 piece). It is cheaper to go that route if you both want the same flavor ($30.99) versus two smalls ($33.98). Would have saved us some money and been a nice gesture, but it’s hard to expect that when someone is running a business. Didn’t realize until after the fact.

Anyways, I’d recommend giving them a shot. Just note the things mentioned above before going, if they matter to you.“

“The price is a little high for a 1 topping large, but when the quality of the cheese, toppings, and sauce are this good, it's worth it.

Especially the pepperoni, I dont know where they got it from, but I wish I had ordered the whole thing pepperoni.

The place is tucked away between a boxing center and Del Taco.

It has a green fake grass outside for people with dogs, and apparently, they donate money to shelters from their profits.

So is buying a pizza since part is donated to charity considered a tax deduction???? Kidding.

“I moved a few weeks ago to this area from NY/CT area and wanted a NY style pizza, and I believe Lamonica's mostly delivers.

The pizza is pretty good, but a lot of it depends on the warming time right before you get it. I've had slices here range from perfect crisp to pretty soggy so I would just make sure you get it warmed up enough beforehand. Unfortunately, Lamonica's has smaller slices than typical NY style which is a little sad as I've had slices in and around NY much bigger than Lamonica's but they're still big slices. They are just barely foldable but a lot of times a little soggy unfortunately.

The service is pretty hit or miss, but most of the time it seems fine albeit it seems a lot of the time that most of the employees here just don't really want to be here. However, they're all pretty helpful.

The price feels a little high, I would only come here on a lunch special (11AM-3PM I believe?) as the prices seem pretty high, about $5-6 per slice + $3.25 for a drink.

The place is so great though, as a transit nerd I love all the older subway memorabilia. The whole place just generally feels like NY to me.

“Ordered the original and sauce combo. Price point was fair. The boneless pieces were the issue, some came a little dry, and saucing consistency was a little uneven. There’s some latitude, given this was a pick up. Pick up was a little slower but not by much. The service area a little marred by the homeless pop around.“

“I’ve been meaning to try this place for so long and today I was finally able to. I’ve had chicken sandwiches from Howlin Rays and LeCoupe and this is on that level. It isn’t easy to find a good fried chicken sandwich in the valley and I was incredibly (and surprisingly) pleased. A shame that due to slow business they will be shutting down in October. When I walked inside, the older people working were wonderful and explain their menu to me. I came back to pick up my order and they made sure to put it in a heated bag so it would stay hot. The jalapeno bread I thought was pretty good and price reasonably.“

“I ordered chicken teriyaki bowls with no veggies to go. They have a bunch of sauces you can choose from. I tried the orange, bulgogi, and the teriyaki sauces. I liked the bulgogi the most and my son liked the teriyaki sauce the most. The customer service was great, they were very patient with me when I had to change my order due to someone else. I think next time I will add veggies and try some more sauces and meats. The place looked clean and the staff was nice. I will definitely come again and I'm glad it's near my house“
