Went to this place to get a pistachio espresso, paid 10 dollars for the tiniest cup that was filled half way, I literally finished in 3 sips. It was good, that's why 3 stars, if they would have filled the tiny cup it would have been 5 stars. If I ever worked in a place like that I would give people their money's worth and load their orders, why be so cheap?

Love the flavors they have and love the fact you can sample as many as you want. Workers all were very kind too. Will definitely be back to try more :)

Less than average ice cream. (Pistachio 2/5, tiramisu 4/5, chocolate 3/5)

It is not a real Italian gelato!

So I'm sitting on a bench outside Bacii di Latte at Topanga Village, people watching and enjoying my Chocolate Pistachio Crunch. Luckily they have tiny little cups as the Gelato is decadent.

Conrad and Andrea were both so helpful and kind! They were very patient with me and my friend when arrived. Allowed to taste test the flavors I wanted in order to get the best flavor for my pint. Highly recommend!

I have been going to this gelato place for the past year and visited many branches
This is my first time being so disappointed from the quality of the two flavors I always get the pistachio and the hazelnut

November 2025

Probably one of the top three gelato places in the surrounding area. Honestly I would even venture to say if I had to get quality gelato, this would probably be my number one choice as of November 2025.

Don't quote me, but I think the night that I went in, it was a mother & son combination working the counter. They were totes adorbs.

I'll say this much, for a small size and regular size, walking out the door for $17, the prices are on point. It's definitely a splurge, an indulgence. About twice the price of Frozen yogurt.

Yet...
I could justify the price to what you're getting by explaining that it's truly the experience here. You're definitely getting a much richer, flavorful, complex abundance of things going on more than you would get with Frozen yogurt.

We tried several different flavors, and some highlights are any of the hazelnut, the pistachio, the peanut butter and the chocolate chip were all very unique and complex. I could taste how fresh and real the ingredients are. I believe the way that they make the gelato is also done in a special way that does not incorporate a lot of air into the products. It's very dense, smooth and rich. Wonderful and tasty with a good mouth feel.

I will definitely be back again. Especially if that adorable team is working behind the counter again. Lol. It's not something I would do three times a week or anything, but once in a while, maybe a few times a month, it's definitely a Splurge worth splurging on.

If you're still reading this, and you're curious, I would say the prices here at Bacio are a little bit better than Anita La Mama on Ventura Boulevard by reseda. The parking here at Bacio is also much more convenient than their competition on Ventura boulevard.

Fun fact that the gal behind the counter explained to me, this chain of gelato stores is very popular in Brazil... hundreds of locations down there. I guess they decided to Branch out and move their good quality products to the United States.

To the management, to the owners that are reading this review, please don't change a thing. The flavor, the taste, the portion sizes, everything I believe is spot-on. Maybe a dollar less on each side would be the icing on the cake for me. But I could still justify the current price to size ratio.

Incredibly good gelato. Really nice staff. Will be back. The selection alone will keep you coming back.

I loved the hazelnut flavor.
