Not a bad place, but VERY unreasonably expensive for such dishes... Desserts are too sweet, greasy and oily… In general, it's a matter of taste.

And come here a couple times a week I always place my order over the phone because there is a glitch with the online ordering system that does not allow me to order what I always get without cheese over the Internet but for some reason today no one answered the phone even though I tried calling four times a few minutes apart to give them time in case they were busy so I drove to the store and as I walked into the store, I called the store phone and I watched two employees very slowly walk around Doing a halfway job cleaning up the lobby and ignoring the phone
Jade took my order and delivered my food to the table. Best food experience at Old New York Deli and Bakery. Highest recommendation for delicious sandwiches.

Don't care for places where I have to order at a counter and then wait for food to be delivered. I ordered the bbq chicken salad. It was beautiful but I like my salad mixed.

Sadly, just had the worst turkey club sandwich and potato salad ever. Clearly they either don’t eat their own food or they don’t know good deli food. Brent’s has good food, though their bakery falls short on many items. This deli has always been just average, but today was a tragic low. The sandwich was dry, the bread tasted stale and manufactured. The potato salad was dry, tasteless and awful. Even the dill pickles were floppy and weak. Too bad ☹️
Staff and service weren’t bad. If they ate their food anonymously and then went to Brent’s or Mort’s, they would understand. Lovi's food is ok, but bakery is sub-par as well.

Good food, overpriced, takes too long - preordering a good idea.

I've never paid more for less and had to deal with people who couldn't care less about the quality of the food they made me.
Unbussed tables in an empty service, employees taking their meals at tables watching phone videos at full volume, and honestly, prices so out of whack with the quality as to be comical.

I enjoyed the decor and design. Has white & black hex-mosaic tiles in some areas, that offers a traditional deli-restaurant feel. Huge black caged fans on the ceiling. The tables, chairs, & benches are very deli/coffee shop type. Wrought iron table bases, that wobble unless a matchbook is used to level it. Very 70’s. Professional design thought was put into the interior.
There’s a self-serve drink concession w/ regular & gas water. Long refrigerator showcases at the counter with appetizing assorted cookies, cakes, and pastries. As of 6/19/2025, assorted cookies are $18lb, cake slices $10ea, & large decorative cookies are $4.50ea. A heathy stacked Cornbeef on rye sandwich w/ 2 pickle slices and fries was $20. A good deal compared to other deli’s prices. The Reuben is $23. Cornbeef runs approx $24lb. They claim to cook all meats in-house except for pastrami.
As of 6/19/2025, there were no happy hour deals. Mozzarella sticks(6) w/ marinara $12. A bit pricey for fried breaded cheese w/ tomato sauce. Your money better spent on a bowl of Matzo Ball soup w/ chicken & noodles, tasty bagel chips on the side for only $11. There was very little seasoning if any, for the low-sodium fans. I gave it a healthy hit of salt & pepper to spark my tastebuds. The Matzo Ball is huge and the chicken was a hearty serving ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Best deal in town. I will definitely be a regular for the Matzo Ball soup.
Last comment is about the frozen blended Matcha drink. I always ask at Starbucks for my Matcha Frappe to be 2x blended. I like it thick & smooth, not crunchy icy. Their med is like a Starbucks grande and price about the same. The first go around was still crunchy icy & not enough Matcha. I asked for a redo from the manager. He did it right like Starbucks. If you gotta have a Starbucks, the Woodland Hills location has a Starbucks in the parking lot just out the door.
If you miss a good deli menu and good food it’s worth a shot. Enjoy!

Great Deli
Good ambience; average American fast food (they say organic but the oils taste like ur typical American diner fried food)--kinda expensive for cheap sauces but the Trump economy SUCKS why ppl vote Republican they don't know econ
Garlic bagel. Asked for lightly toasted and lightly buttered. Came with all garlic as charcoal but and about half stick of butter. Turned bagel on its side and butter just poured out. Absolutely ruined a good bagel. The bakery items were amazing. Have a bear claw but made sure not to have it warmed.
Would go back but would not have anything toasted or warmed up.
Very nice surroundings, strong WI, fi very tasty food a little bit pricey, but that's what Woodland Hills is all about.
Great bakery and delicious corned beef on rye sandwich.
