“So typical little western restaurant in the middle of the ghost town of Calico.
Good table, where you will drink from jars and eat from metal dishes.
And settling on one of the rocking chairs under the porch for digestion is a must... ;)
Very nice;;;“

“What a wonderful place!! A 50s Diner sure from (from one who was in diners in the 50s). Not only movie, TV and music nostalgia but also kind and considerate waitresses like Lucia who posed for a picture with me and the Blues Brothers and told us the history of Peggy Sue’s along with her great service. So glad my friends and I stopped there.“

“Stopped cause I needed gas only to discover one of the best carne burritos anywhere, literally in the middle of nowhere. House salsa brings good flavor and heat.
It’s a regular stop when traveling this route and it never disappoints. The fact it shares a building with a gas station only adds to the funky charm of this desert gem.“

“If you're visiting Calico this is a great place to stop and eat. The food is hot and comes quick and they have lots of options. The chicken strips and fries were good but nothing to write home about. But the fried pickles were delicious! I was a bit worried when I first arrived and saw that most of the seating was outdoors, but despite the desert heat the shade and the breeze made the outdoor eating area perfectly comfortable. Plus you get the bonus of beautiful views of the Calico hills.“
