“Stipped by on a whim, and I'm glad we did. Comfortable and welcoming tasting room. We had a great wine experience with our host, Owen, who led us through all their lovely bordeaux varietals. The wines surprisingly lovely we wonderful expressions of each varietal. Walked away with a white blend (sauv blan + semillon) and a merlot, but honestly, I would have been happy with any of the bottles. I suppose that means we'll have to go back for more soon.”

“My wife and I were driving down CA 101 near Hopland last weekend and we were both very hungry. We hadn't had time to eat breakfast at our hotel before leaving, as we were staying in Eureka and had 10:30am tickets for the Skunk Train in Willits. After leaving Willits we were having trouble getting any signal to our phones (it's very rural up there) around 1:35pm, when we finally got signal, we found Bluebird Cafe and Catering on Yelp. How lucky for us to find this quaint little dinner, as we were famished. The only drawback was that it said they would be closing soon at 2:00pm. When we hit the door at 1:40pm, we were greeted warmly by Sharon. We expressed that we didn't want to keep them late, after their closing time and Sharon was like, "no worries, take your time...enjoy." My wife ordered the Country Breakfast and I ordered a Ham & Cheddar Cheese Omelet. Both arrived quickly and contained copious amounts of flavors. My wife makes a mean biscuit w/country gravy herself and she's always on the look out for a good representation of the dish. Bluebird's version of biscuit w/country gravy, was one of the best she's tried, besides her version. HOMERUN, they knocked it outta the park. My Ham & Cheddar Cheese Omelet was certainly in my top ten, and those home fries OMG were TAF, seasoned with herbs, a little garlic and cooked to perfection. If you're in Hopland, do yourself a flavor and stop by the Bluebird Cafe & Catering Co. You will LOVE IT !!!”

“I dropped in on a sunny Saturday, 08/23/25 at 11 a.m., with friends on our way to wine tasting and camping around Anderson Valley. First impression was mellow and inviting—quiet patio, big shade trees, and plenty of space to exhale before the next leg up Highway 128. As in my photo, I started with a pint outside and let the morning do its thing.
I tried the Hop Ottin IPA and the West Coast IPA, and both hit the mark—clean, bright bitterness with enough citrus and pine to keep me lingering. We grabbed a bench and let the stories roll while watching the hills warm up. Boonville has its own quirky history, and the brewery sits right in that laid-back pocket where vineyards meet redwoods and time slows down a notch. Parking a 32’ RV was a breeze, which isn’t always the case in small valley towns, and the place was tidy and easy to settle into.
The only miss was the service; the person pouring felt checked out—efficient, but not much energy or guidance. It didn’t ruin anything, but a little enthusiasm would have matched the setting and the beer quality.
I’d gladly stop again, especially if I’m threading a day of wineries with a palate-cleansing pint and some fresh air. Great fit for travelers who appreciate a simple patio, solid IPAs, and stress-free parking”
“On our way to Humboldt County, fleeing the LA wildfires, Serena was so delightful, welcoming and knowledgeable — plus the wine was really good!

“We stopped at The Golden Pig for a late lunch on our way back from northern CA to the central coast. We loved everything. The beer and cocktails were very good. I had the best nachos I’ve ever eaten served in a hot cast iron skillet, and liked that I could add Rancho Gordo white beans and the cheese was very melted & soft with great flavor. Service was great.”

“This is handsome down the best roadside burger joint we've ever had! The melts and shakes are so delicious. Burgers are juicy and mouth watering. My only negative is that the exterior needs some love in the way of cleanliness. I've been coming here for months now and near the bathroom there was a disqusting red butt plug in a puddle, that should have been cleaned up months ago. I realize this is probably a favorite stop, since along the hwy, and all caliber of folks travel that hwy, but that makes it more obvious that attention to cleaning outside areas hasn't been a priority.”
