This is a charming French bistro. Our server, Ian, only added to the charm with his warmth, efficiency, and kindness. As an appetizer, we ordered the crispy pig's foot. My dinner partner was reluctant to try that but fell completely in love with it, which made me laugh. We shared two entrées: the fabulous Boeuf Bourguinon with extraordinarily tender beef and the chicken breasts (a bit dry) in a divine Camembert cream sauce. OMG. That sauce shall live supreme in my memory. We finished by sharing the dark and light chocolate mousse cake, which was very dry. We actually don't recommend that. All in all, this was a memorable meal, which we enjoyed very much. Thank you, Ian, for making it very special.

This restaurant was fantastic, one of the best we have been to in a while and we eat out a lot. Steak tar tar: this is under the mains and we always eat it for an app but I understand why, the portion is very large for a steak tar tar. Crab and cheese souflee: was very tasty would order again. Crouqe madame: was great. One of my husband's favorites Pork belly and lentils: was listed as an app but it was big enough to be a meal.

So worth the two hour drive from Rocklin! This little bistro is adorable and cozy! And the food--- sooo delicious! My French hubby was very happy with his crispy pigs feet and my mousse of duck liver was OUTSTANDING!! It's been a long time since I've had one so creamy and flavorful! Not to be outdone were the huge and fresh scallops in a light sauce with fresh peas and corn. Lovely dish. Hubs had cassoulet- duck was perfectly cooked, as was the pork belly and sausage. Maybe a tad too much garlic but ALL the hot food was HOT. Dessert was excellent profiteroles for him, and a lemon tarte w candied orange sauce was great! Even greater was our server- Ytziar! Very friendly and professional! Even the young lady serving water and coffee was very attentive! We will be back for dinner one of these days!!

Tonight we went to Bistro Jeanty for the time (been there for lunch, dinner and brunch in separate occasions) until tonight it had been our favorite restaurant in the Napa Valley area but tonight it made us consider other options for our next visit (we're from Seattle, WA), although food was as always great, service was poor and left us with a disappointing experience, our server was not attentive and didn't seem to care to interact with us by trying to explain the menu, specials or anything else, he was just taking orders and very poorly at it, the only credit I give him is bringing water for our dogs; atmosphere was as good as other times nice, casual and relaxed as every other time we're very grateful that Jeanty is a dog friendly restaurant. I hope servers get more training.

Food: 3/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 4/5 We ordered the tomato soup en croute and the crispy pig foot for appetizers. We really enjoyed the tomato soup, though be careful because it's heavier than you expect! We did not enjoy the crispy pig foot dish. It didn't have much depth of flavor and the texture was a little off-putting. We ordered the boeuf bourguignon and cassoulet for main dishes, and both were good. Definitely heavy again and there wasn't much depth of flavor. We couldn't finish even half of either. It just wasn't up to what we were expecting.

Came here for a light lunch. Got the tomato soup, French onion soup and glass of Sauvignon blanc. Check totaled about $60. Tomato soup was good yet the dough was undercooked. French onion soup was beautifully presented but wasn't hot enough and predominately tasted like beef broth. The ambiance is very authentic and the staff was very attentive. I would come back to try a full meal, but the soups were a miss for me unfortunately which was disappointing as I've only heard good things.

I WOULD travel 1.5 hours to get here and eat here. What can I possibly say that would encompass my experience here? I used to think that I didn't like French food, and I've gone to a couple of other well known French restaurants. But THIS - THIS! French onion soup: amazing. Light, not too salty, perfectly seasoned. I could eat an entire pot of it. I'm sad I decided to share with my mother. I should've gotten the whole thing for myself. Tomato soup: best thing! The part was the ENTIRE THING. The pastry was great and the soup was delicious. Beef stew: I always had a fear of beef stew being too salty (esp because I am salt sensitive). It was absolutely delicious. I cannot tell you what they did right nor can I tell you what was done wrong. Well, nothing was done wrong! I can say that I love Bistro Jeanty and I have a strong desire to come back here, even though I am far away. If I could give a 15/10 this would be it. Amazing. We also had desserts and they were good but the main part is: nothing can go wrong here. It's delicious.

Our experience was special. Better than our previous evening paying 5x as much for a Michelin-starred place. This place is so well known that I don't need to detail it... just sayin' our experience matched the 5-star reviews, not the lower reviews. Cozy and genuine, not performance art. We aren't "Napa regulars" but had an opportunity to explore. This was just what we needed. Comments based on our familiarity with comparable restaurants in San Francisco, Oakland, Berkeley.

I live in Yountville which is famous for its wine, customer service and cuisine. I went to Bistro Jeanty at a friend's request. I will NEVER go again and I will discourage anyone I talk to from going there. I have experienced fine dining all over the world. I rarely complain and I never send my food back. We ordered three soups, two appetizers, and no alcohol. The flat water cost us $7.50. The bread was nothing special and that was an extra charge. I sent my appetizer back because I could not even consider bringing it home. Our waitress, discussed with the manager the fact that neither one of our appetizers were eaten he refused to compensate us in anyway, even though I had only taken two bites of my food. The bill came to $170 for three soups and two appetizers. The fact that no compensation was even discussed left me very dissatisfied. Our waitress was extremely apologetic. In order to complete this review, I am required to give them at least one star which in my opinion is one star too many.

French bistro with great jibes. Escargot like classic presentation. Pigs feet. Weird idea but wonderful

4.5* rounded up to 5 - they got the satisfy, and we brought the need, yes indeed... it was a delightful chowdown of fine french cuisine, or napa v's best rendition thereof, and for a naive staycation-type of dude like myself, it's the next best thing to something francais, oui oui??? we got the crab souffle, escargot ravioli and onion soup - and me being the naive silicon v boy, i had to ask if that was french onion soup with the layer of cheeeezzz on top??? you dummy - our waiter replied of course it is... (of course he didn't exactly say that, he had nice manners, his name was omar, and we tipped him nicely...) had to say the beginning was delicshhh, no complaints at all. for lent, we had to suffer thru the petra sole, salad maraichere and mussels entrees which of course left us very stuffed and takehome leftovers galore. Jesus would not have been happy, but was it not written? - man cannot live on air and water alone... For drinks, we had the belle du jour and homemade lemonade $24.50 for the bebidas - not cheap but very nice complement to the meal. no complaints from this quiet puppy, and nothing like a nice b&j ice cream in downtown napa to emit the last burp since everything closed up by 6-7pm on a 3/15/24 friday evening in yountville - that's the only negative part on this excursion... 2 thumbs up for bistro jeanty!!! Total damage was ~$242.

Absolutely Gorgeous!!! Food was so authentic and tasty, I closed my eyes and thought I was in Paris! Really great food, most importantly, really authentic and tasting exactly like France! We ordered coq au vin, then some pork belly, tomato soup, and some duck liver pate, all was absolutely amazing!! The service was impeccable, and absolutely great too! Think this was expensive? No, not at all. Well not cheap, but for a restaurant this class, the pricing is very reasonable. Highly recommended.

I was expecting good food and good service but it was bad. Food was mediocre at best. Would stay away from this restaurant if anybody would ask. Would rather spend time and money somewhere else
