RO Restaurant & Lounge

Of the meals I've had at several of the Keller groups' restaurants this was my favorite and amongst one of the top eating experiences I've had. Flavors were expertly judged; nothing overpowering, every dish layering subtleties with varying textures and tastes. One standout includes the little gem salad which was the most crisp lettuces I've ever had. Another favorite was the A5 Wagyu dipped in marinated egg yolk. One of the best bites of meat I've ever experienced. a number of other dishes stood out as well; overall it's rare for a restaurant, even at the multi-star level, to bring out dish after dish of superstars and yet they did.
I highly recommend.

First of all, all I can say is that RO is an absolute gem of a spot. Not only is it gorgeous, the food is INCREDIBLE (I mean, honestly exquisite in flavor, and presentation) but the staff is just above and beyond. We sat in the outdoor lounge and it was just beautiful.

The sommelier Hunter took so much time talking to my (rather difficult!) elderly father and was so gracious and welcoming. I know he must have had a million things to do, and never rushed him- he was so patient and kind (not to mention INCREDIBLY knowledgeable, I mean, wow!) I can’t say how much I appreciate him taking the time and how much fun my dad had talking champagne with him. He hasn’t stopped talking about it.

Our waitress Kaitlyn was absolutely lovely and checked in on us many times to make sure we had everything we needed. Her food recommendations were spot on! She was so sweet with my dad and again, the patience of a saint.

My father will be in the area again next month and made a reservation to return before we even left the restaurant!

Amazing dishes, great execution and the staff.

Opening night for the new menu at RO…and it was an outstanding experience. We celebrated our anniversary and had a great time. Executive Chef Jefferey prepared amazing dishes…a wonderful tapestry of flavors that delight the senses. Everything we ate was brilliant and we highly recommend the Cod and Chicken large plates, the charred cabbage, gem lettuce and chotoro small plates, and the strawberry tart for dessert. Our server Katlyn was so professional and friendly, she genuinely cared for us in every way to ensure we had a great anniversary. We now consider Katlyn part of the family. RO executed their menu pivot with the highest level of excellence. We highly recommend and will return.

Sandos were bomb

Phenomenal experience! The dishes are exquisite, and well balanced, and the service is top notch. Everyone from the chefs to the front of house cares about what they do, is insightful, and it shows. Premium selection of wines, spirits, and caviar as well. Pay a visit!! You will be glad you did.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting RO and indulging in their dishes including all the bites, caviar, and champagne tasting. The service was attentive and warm throughout the afternoon. RO Restaurant and Lounge in Yountville is a true gem and deserving of 5 stars. The ambiance is sleek and modern, and the food is an absolute delight, with each dish crafted with care and precision.

The only minor critique was that the service felt a bit hurried and frantic. However, this seemed understandable, as Thomas Keller, the owner, was hosting a book signing next door, which likely added to the bustling atmosphere.

Overall, the experience was exceptional, and I highly recommend RO for a fantastic dining experience in Yountville.

Love this place, the staff is very attentive and sweet, the food is delicious. I love the bands on Fridays and Saturdays. My favorite menu items are the artichoke custard and the mochi dessert.

A wonderful spot for a date night, perfect for an intimate evening with champagne The jazz performance was amazing, and I absolutely loved the uni toast. They have romantic backyard seats too!
