We recently dined on the outdoor patio at RO, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. We were warmly greeted by the hostess, and when we asked if we could dine outside, she was very accommodating and seated us next to the beautiful fireplace, which created the perfect ambiance.
Our servers, Rommel and Alexis, were wonderful. They were knowledgeable, attentive, and did an excellent job explaining the menu and making recommendations.
We started with cocktails and ordered the RO Sour. It was absolutely delicious, with the perfect balance of sake, yuzu, and black cherry.
For starters, we ordered the Chili Cucumbers, made with fresh ingredients from Thomas Keller's Culinary Garden. We also shared the Chirashi Rice Bowl, featuring fresh tuna and trout roe—it was my favorite dish of the evening and a huge hit at the table. The Garden Tempura was another standout, with perfectly crisp mushrooms and zucchini paired with a sauce that was simply incredible.
Of course, we had to end the evening with dessert, and I highly recommend trying all three. The Shiokoji Ice Cream was exquisite, topped with Royal Caviar and miso caramel for a truly unique and unforgettable combination. The Strawberry Chouquette, with fresh strawberries and buckwheat shiso, was equally delicious. And you absolutely have to order the shaved ice—it tastes exactly like an Orange Creamsicle! We shared all three desserts, and every bite was amazing. We couldn't get enough.
RO delivered an outstanding dining experience with exceptional service, beautifully crafted dishes, and unforgettable desserts. We can't wait to return.

We came in on Father's Day and RO Fell short of our expectations. Our service was fantastic. The food was just ok. Champagne by the glass was very overpriced. Drinks were good but again, very pricey.
Nice, great vibe, good food. Very relaxing.
We went there on a whim when we were in Yountville and we loved it! Food and service was delicious!

Wonderful food. Atmosphere is clean, if not a bit too sterile. But the dishes were excellent. Notables were the cabbage and the Ora Salmon.

Best happy hour in the valley. Great service and food and I can't stress how great the 4-6 happy hour deals can make the budget stretch for bubbles and caviar.

We got lucky with reservations last minute! Everything we got was great, especially the uni toast! Dessert was skippable
Our group of 8 joined the outside patio yesterday afternoon. We had just had a full day of wine tasting, walked by and decided to pop in as we were craving caviar and champagne. When we arrived there was three tables seated outside and asked the hostess if we could sit outside. She seemed annoyed, it seemed like we were bothering her and she didn’t want to help us. Finally I asked can you accommodate us, and with attitude she seated us. Us girls sat at one side and our husbands sat at the other side, we didn’t have enough seating, so we tried to move a chair to accommodate, and she got terse with us, but where she was seating us didn’t have enough seats. Eventually we figured it out, and our server came and everything changed. She was lovely, vibrant and beyond helpful. We ordered amazing caviar 100, tuna bowl, a Edd salad Sando. Beyond delicious! The atmosphere was great, patio is excellent and food was delicious! I’m happy we endured the rough beginning with the hostess (which sets the initial tone) because the food and champagne was amazing!

We ate here on a Thursday evening. We had reservations. We ate outside, under the heaters. It was still chilly out there so bring a sweater if you plan on the same.
We had very good service. Two servers checked on us often and offered good recommendations.
We enjoyed the caviar service, as well as the tonkatsu sand, pork tonkatsu plate, chirashi bowl, and koshihikari rice. The caviar was great. The tonkatsu was a little disappointing...a little overcooked and dry with the bread a little stale...like it had been made a good while in advance. The bowl and rice were delicious. The happy hour menu is great in that it saves diners about 30% on selected entrees.
Would definitely recommend but just avoid the tonkatsu.

Excellent overall experience. If you like caviar you will be very pleased. Don't let that stop you if you don't.... everything we shared was amazing to be honest! Very nice blend of Bouchon and French Laundry integration on a few selections.

We had the best meal here and were accommodated in spite of having no reservation. Hunter was welcoming and hospitable as the manager and our server John was so fun and poured great passion into the experience. My favorite dish was the charred cabbage but everything we had was expertly and thoughtfully crafter. Highly recommend.

The RO Lounge is simply exquisite; a true gem in Yountville. It’s the perfect place to unwind with a glass (or bottle) of champagne and some incredible bites. The chip & dip, deviled eggs, and oysters are all delightful, especially when paired with caviar.
They offer an impressive selection of champagnes by the glass and bottle, along with a few still wines. We’re especially fond of their restaurant group’s own sparkling wine, Modicum, produced by Schramsberg; a beautiful wine made exclusively for Thomas Keller.
Be sure to check their Instagram or website for nights with live jazz, it adds such a wonderful touch to the already sophisticated atmosphere.

Very comfortable and chic spot. The wine and cocktails were excellent and pretty reasonably priced. I had a fun ice cream with caviar on top which was yummy. I appreciate the playfulness of the menu.
Stopped by for some drinks with friends and had a blast! It was nice to sit indoors on a hot day, service was great, and I enjoyed the rosé that I got!
