I was there on Tuesday night with the girlfriend. The staff was fantastic. I ordered the rags which was amazing. The garlic toast was to die for. The girlfriend ordered the stew. It had great flavor but was definitely on the salty side. We will be coming back and next time getting the burger.
Great food great cocktails and wonderful staff. Consistently excellent
You’ll be fine as long as you NEVER send anything back, and the kitchen is as imperfect as we all are. The money you spend at CC won’t guarantee appreciation of it from the owner. It’s a shame, really can be a wonderful place otherwise.

Based on reviews, City Café & Taproom is located on Plumas Street in Yuba City. They have limited days, open 11:30am to 9pm Wednesday through Friday and 4pm to 9pm on Saturday, closed Sunday through Tuesday. It is a beautiful, atmospheric, and cozy place with a pretty courtyard for outside dining. The staff is fantastic, attentive, pleasant, polite, and professional. They play the piano in the room. The food is very tasty. Specific meals mentioned include the rags, which was amazing, and the garlic toast was to die for. The stew had great flavor but was salty. The half chicken and chicken pesto & pasta were delicious. The NY Strips were seasoned well but overcooked. The pork wings were tasty, and the caprese salad was a favorite with fresh tomatoes. The dessert is especially delicious, particularly the lemon cheesecake. It is a nice little place to hang with friends and try all their taps. It gets busy very fast, so a reservation is recommended. Outside dining is ok for dogs.
