Not great. Had the chicken yakisoba noodles and some sushi rolls. The chicken was tough and chewy! Rolls...subpar.

As far as Sushi in a pretty remote, hi-desert town goes, this place is a gem! Fresh-tasting, delicious, somewhat diminutive-sized (this is a good thing!), and well prepared — eat and enjoy with confidence. There were no gibbouses in the vicinity, waning or otherwise, thankfully. That 1-star review is not accurate, fair, nor serious. I’m not in any way affiliated with the resto owners or mgmt but I hate to think it may deter folks from patronizing a really solid local place.

If you’re in Yucca Valley or just passing through, you’ve got to check this place out! Every dish we tried was fresh and full of flavor. You could definitely taste quality in it. We had the Baja California roll, Salmon Lover roll, gyoza, poke salad, mussels, and the salmon teriyaki bowl, and everything was amazing. My fiancé and daughter are picky eaters, and they said it’s one of the best sushi spots they’ve been to (so good we forgot to take more pictures).The owners and staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, adding to the great vibe of the place. Overall, this restaurant exceeded our expectations in every way. We can’t wait to come back! Highly recommend!
