“I'm a total burger-snob. I've had a ranking of various burgers I've enjoyed over the years, split into Western and Eastern USA. My top burger (from a spot in Oakland) was the best for about 6 years. Yesterday, I had the basic cheeseburger and fries from Paddy's, and it has taken the top spot! Best burger in the western US! I'll definitely be back to try some of the "fancier" ones on the menu!”

“This Vietnamese restaurant has a very simple menu, offering pho and spring rolls. The food was tasty, the portions were decent, and the prices were quite reasonable.

It can be a little difficult to find, especially if you’re just traveling through the area. The windows are quite dark, so from the outside it was hard to see inside. Overall, though, it’s a nice, affordable place to stop for a simple Vietnamese meal.”

“Thai Pepper is hands down one of my absolute favorite restaurants in Woodland! I come here about once a week because the food is that good — consistently fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced every single time.

Everything on the menu is delicious, but my personal favorites are the Chicken Satay, Yellow Curry, and Pad Thai. The portions are generous, the ingredients taste fresh, and the flavors always hit the spot. You can really taste the care that goes into every dish.

The staff is always so kind and welcoming — they recognize me now and treat me like family, which makes the experience even better. The restaurant itself is cozy and clean, and takeout is super fast and reliable when I’m in a hurry.

If you love authentic, flavorful Thai food and friendly service, Thai Pepper is a must-try. It’s truly one of Woodland’s best hidden gems!”

“You can immediately tell this is a thoughtfully designed and well-run wine bar! From the cozy interior and unique decor to the fresh flowers and creative tasting holders, every detail feels intentional. It's easily the best wine bar in the Davis-Woodland area.
What really stands out is that they've clearly thought about the overall experience. We stopped in during a heat wave, and they had quality wine slushes, gelato, and absolutely delicious flatbreads made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Everything was fantastic.

“Oh my goodness, so yummy!!! On a long road trip and decided to not go for the cold stuff, even though it would have been perfect in this 100+° weather! Went with the powdered dozen, and oh my so perfect 👌 yummy little wonders! So friendly everyone was treated like family♡ Even given a sweet few extra so we could share haha! “The server could only speak ?️ Spanish so using my iPhone ? translate app, I was able to order correctly as well as, decipher as to what kind of meat was on the tostada. The downside from this Food Truck establishment was that I had to build out my own tostada onto a pre-packaged hard tortilla. Let’s all hope that the crab meat was cooked because I wasn’t expecting cold shredded crab ? meat!
On a side note: the napkins provided are too small and don’t provide enough surface area to prevent food spillage from soaking into the customer’s shirt!???”
