“We were immediately greeted upon entering and encouraged to select our table. A server appeared immediately to take a drink order. We ordered food when the drinks came. She had the chicken fried chicken and I had the mango habanero chicken sandwich. Both were excellent and arrived in a timely fashion.Service was efficient and kind. They're busy well past lunchtime. We always take this as a positive sign. Plenty of locals eat there. Family friendly. We didn't try the shakes or bubble tea... But it appears to be a specialty of theirs.Parking is right outside.Really enjoyed the service and food at a good value. The only very minor downside was the volume in the dining area when full. But as I said, busy usually means good things. Maybe some sort of sound absorbing wall finishings or art? It's a minor thing that wouldn't keep us from returning.“
“Sat in the drive thru for 30 mins waiting for someone to take my order as I watched the employees mess around in the kitchen! I wasted my whole lunch break waiting for them to take my order && they never did!! I guess Cheddar Peppers && a grape cream slush is asking for too much!! There wasn't any cars in the line when I pulled up and when I left there was 6 cars behind me! So they weren't busy when I got there. They never took my order and wasted my whole lunch break!!! Sad to say I went back to work hungry!! This place sucks && needs better management!!!“
“A hidden local gem and a must visit ice cream in Alamosa! The ice cream is absolutely delicious. It is intoxicating to watch them roll the ice cream and make it. Each one is art as well as an amazing snack. They also shared some samples freeze dry jolly rangers which are delicious! I recommend you grab a bag of those along with your ice cream. The owners and staff are delightful and wonderful people who love what they do and they do it so well. You just want to spend more time with them, and hear their stories as you eat their delicious treats. (And I'm not one that normally wants to talk to strangers!) My family stopped every night we were in town visiting Great Sand Dunes National Park. The owners (family owned) of the shop spent extra time giving us tips for the park before we went and our favorite spots it in the park ended up being recommendations from them rather than the park rangers. They also shared some really fascinating stories of the area and restaurant recommendations. When we returned to the shop they immediately recognized us, smiled and excitedly asked how are day was and what we thought of the park. It was like seeing friends after a long day. My brother's fiancé isn't one for eating dessert (especially right after dinner) but was the one who insisted said we must ask for doggie bags at our dinner place so we had time to get to frosty acres before they closed. If you only have time to grab one thing in Alamosa - Frosty Acres must be it!! Best spot we found in our entire week trip in Colorado!“
