“I have been a frequenter of Yak and Yeti for many years now. I have been to multiple locations of theirs (my favorite was when they were in Westminster where the Tamale Kitchen is now). I think that if you have never been to Yak and Yeti and are looking for a good Indian/Nepalese buffet, look no further. This IS the place. The buffet as a lot of good selections and they have a great drinks menu. That being said, I now feel like I need to review this place as someone who has seen it ebb and flow over the years. I think that this location is obviously the nicest interior and exterior as the other locations are pretty much just buildings with some stuff on the walls and really good food. Though, I don't think that really changes the quality of food I just thought it should be known that if you are curious about the difference of locations, that is going to be a big one. I think this particular location has the widest beer selection as well but that could be false now. It used to be that way years ago though.I will say that every time I have been to Yak and Yeti I get the buffet. I have never even looked at a menu. You should know that if you have never been that they will expect you to get the buffet because everyone does. I have seen the wait staff get kind of confused when someone does ask for a menu but they will obviously abide and not be rude about it. The buffet is king though and why people go.So, I have mentioned that the food is great and it is. Four stars alone for the food. But other things are being taken into consideration with this review and I will be the one that will say it if no one else will....Yak and Yeti is resting on its laurels. The food is great but never really changes. If it does change it is that the preparation of the already known dishes changes slightly. The flavors are always on point but the flavors are the same level of depth as they have always been. Yak and Yeti has become so stable that if you go you better find something to become your usual because that is what you will always get. Maybe they are hiding some stuff on the menu that excels from what I am stating but I don't think so.The locations all have this slightly deteriorated look that shows that they could operate at the same level as they do now and never be worried about it, and from what I know of their fan base. That is true.Their servers just exist to grab drink orders but they also don't have a normal wait staff set up. It is like a group of people are your wait staff and you can pretty much just grab anyone to get you anything. If you haven't been before this can probably be confusing but they EXPECT that you have been before or are with someone that has been because that is how this place runs. The food is great but if you don't "get" what makes Yak and Yeti good the first time you go they won't wow you the second time so you probably don't need to go back. I can tell you though that I will go back and enjoy Yak and Yeti for years to come because their food is now a source of comfort. Maybe that will be you and maybe that won't be.“
“Hari!!!! Thank you so much for an amazing dinner. The dinner for 2 was perfect: the food was fresh, well cooked and just the right amount of spice. Our service was outstanding. Spice of India Restaurant & Bar is officially on our list, we'll be back soon.“
“Momo House was delicious!! Found this place because of google reviews raving about the vegan food. It did not disappoint. I had the combo plate with the vegan momo. The samosas were the best I’ve ever had - the dough was super flaky and delicious. My husband had the chicken moml and he said they were very good as well. The proprietor was very nice and they have a great selection of non alcoholic drinks and a nice water cooler if you just want water. We will come back for sure when we are in the area!!Dietary restrictions: Tons of vegan options.“
“Absolutely wonderful! The food was delicious, the drinks were great, and the service was perfect! I can't recommend this restaurant enough!Vegetarian options: Like all authentic Indian restaurants, their vegetarian selection is large, and the dishes are all filling and delicious. My personal favorite is the malai kofta. Highly recommend!“
“Ordered pickup from them tonight. The staff were friendly when I was making the pickup. The food was absolutely delicious. My wife got chicken Tikka masala and I got lamb vindaloo. Both curries were thick and hearty and well spiced. We both ordered medium spice, and the spice level was quite appropriate. I think next time we'll both get hot because we're spice lovers. Cheese naan was great as was the rice. Highly recommend this spot“
“I LOVE the food here. Everything we have tried is always outstanding and full of spice. Medium is the perfect heat for us and we like spicy food. Although we love the food, we probably won't dine in anymore and just get it for take out. The service is consistently terrible; the lack of attention to time we sit and then need to tell them we want to order & having to ask for to-go boxes multiple times before getting them & then asking for the check while sitting for about 15 minutes done with food and packing up our food. It never fails that the service is like this...it's disappointing to say the least when the food is as good as it is.“
“Every time I come here I try something new and it is my new favorite thing. Everyone I bring here agrees this is the best Indian they’ve had in Denver. Last night we brought my niece and they didn’t have any coloring supplies so the bartender went next door to the Safeway and bought her coloring supplies which was just above and beyond. Great staff, great food, reasonable prices - highly recommend!“
“Durbar is almost a hidden gem, in between an herbal specialty store and a specialty Grocery store in Villager Square shopping center. I had casually noticed the front of Durbar Nepalese and Indian Bistro before, driving through the shopping center. Last Thursday evening, we were in the area and thought to find a place to go for dinner. We selected Durbar, to our delight. Every aspect of Durbar is a delight. The interior is visually pleasing, the service is personal, and the food is top-notch. My best friend said that Durbar is now their favorite go-to place for dinner. We all are so glad that we selected Durbar.I enjoyed watching the television screen that showed videos of the Nepalese mountains and glaciers. Don't let the location fool you because there are thrift stores, guitar shops and gyms nearby, Durbar is definitely worth a visit, or two visits . . go often!!“
“Think of it as a hole in the wall--iffy on looks but great food. The garlic Nan was wonderful just right amount of fluff. Chicken Masala mild had just enough kick to be enjoyable.Parking: It's a very small lot restaurants is on the corner parking in this area is generally hard to find“
“I've been here a few times and each visit is better than the last. We were seated promptly and the service was wonderful. Our food was amazing and there's so much to choose from! Definitely a rare delight in the Golden area. Highly recommended!“
“Amazing place for a well paced dinner. We order drinks & a couple of starters. Moved on to order the main course with 3 sides to share. Had plenty to take home as we saved room for a small, but satisfying dessert. Staff is attentive without being intrusive. On a cold evening the door let's in that rush of cold air as partons arrive, would be my only concern. My scale of "hot" did not match theirs as I had a 6 of 7, on their scale & while it was "spicy" it did not reach that "too hot to enjoy" level. Absolutely reccomended.Parking: We walked over. Lots of Uber usage, which seems like the best option.“
“I regularly go to Himchuli and everything on the menu is delicious. It’s the only good Indian in Colorado and it’s amazing. Highly recommend. Don’t go anywhere else. I’ve had the cheese garlic naan, matar paneer, chicken tika masala, lamb masala, veggie korma, aloo matar, chicken saag, lamb saag, raita, aloo Gobi, and probably more im just not thinking of.“
“This restaurant is amazing. I decided to look up what the word Durbar means, and it turns out it is the "court of a king or ruler." And that term is very fitting. Parking is easy. The inside is very warm, friendly, and comfortable. The staff is cheerful and on it. And the food... Just wow. I am a huge rice and chicken fan, so this is square in my wheelhouse. The buffet has lemon rice on it, which is worth the price of admission. The salad section is fresh. Most importantly, the entrees are exactly what they should be. My three favorites are the chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, and tandoori chicken. I could eat any of them every day and the tandoori twice a day. Big flavor, tender, and satisfying. The naan is a must-try as well. It's super easy to get here off 6th Avenue and absolutely worth it!“
“Awesome food, atmosphere is very inviting for the whole family ?? Five stars⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Vegetarian options: Go try it!!?????Dietary restrictions: Very tastyParking: Spacious free parkingKid-friendliness: I observed a great service oriented staff helping even the children!!!???Wheelchair accessibility: Very accessible ???“
“The staff is absolutely amazing.... super friendly, constantly refilling water, cleaning up etc...love them for this...food is genuine and tasty! They can accommodate celiac/GF if needed and do a great job of it. Atmosphere is nothing to brag about but it's clean.. if you like this type of food...i certainly recommend it.Dietary restrictions: My wife is celiac and has zero issues eating here...huge bonus“
“Skipped the buffet since all I wanted was Tikka Masala. One of the top recipes in all of Denver!Parking: There are only about 10 spots in their lot so you might end up needing to park in the surrounding neighborhood. Be careful of no parking signs on the street.Wheelchair accessibility: Ground level is wheel chair accessible so you will be relegated to sitting in the bar area, no elevator to the upstairs dining room.“
