I had a wonderful dining experience at Mawas Kitchen. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with a cozy yet elegant vibe that made the evening feel special. The service was attentive and friendly, and the staff were knowledgeable about the menu and happy to give recommendations.
The food was beautifully presented and full of flavor. Each dish felt thoughtfully prepared, with a great balance of seasoning and fresh ingredients. From the appetizers to the main course, everything was satisfying and well-executed.
Overall, Mawas Kitchen is a great place for a relaxed but refined dining experience. I would definitely come back and recommend it to anyone looking for delicious food and excellent service.

We had an absolutely fantastic New Year's Eve dinner at Mawa's Kitchen and couldn't have asked for a better experience! When making our reservation, we let the manager know we needed an earlier seating to catch the fireworks, and they were incredibly accommodating and made sure everything ran perfectly on time. The food was amazing, the service was impeccable, and my entire family left raving about every dish. Yes, they got a bit backed up during the busy NYE rush, but we honestly didn't mind at all because we had a great time entertaining each other and soaking in the wonderful atmosphere. I do want to mention that we felt sorry for the waitstaff with the way some guests treated them, from what I observed some diners were obnoxious and pretentious, and sorry fellas, we did see you and we did hear you loud and clear. Despite dealing with some difficult customers, the staff remained attentive to us, professional, and really went above and beyond to make our evening special while respecting our timeline. We made it to the fireworks with time to spare and had full, happy bellies! We loved it so much that we came back for brunch on New Year's Day and it was spectacular, those dreamy pancakes were to die for! Mawa's Kitchen delivered a five-star experience in every way, and we will absolutely be back and recommend this gem to anyone visiting Aspen. Thank you for making our NYE celebration memorable!

I hate writing bad reviews, but my family and I had an exceptionally bad experience at Mawa's for New Year's Eve. It was our first time eating here. I did notice that the staff seemed undertrained and overwhelmed, which no doubt impacted our meal. Not sure if this was a holiday staffing problem, or the usual. But because it was a 4 course, prix fix meal at $150+ per person, and a nearly $600 bill, I feel compelled to write this review. When we arrived, they first attempted to seat us at a 2 top for 4 people before we requested a proper sized table, and the restaurant was empty. We were served the wrong dishes 3 times in a row, and each time, they had to make the dish over again. They forgot to bring my mom's wine. We had an early reservation with almost no one in the restaurant when we arrived, so there wasn't a great excuse for why the orders were put in incorrectly (not like they were busy at the time we ordered). We were there over an hour before we got the entrees, and we also informed the waitstaff that we were going to be leaving at a certain time to see NYE fireworks, and we were assured that would be enough time to complete our meal. Because we were served the wrong food multiple times and they had to remake it, we had to take my husband's entree to go and all of the desert to go. The first 2 courses were good, but my mom and I got the vegetarian peanut sauce curry and didn't love it. We were at the restaurant over 2+hrs. To compensate, they removed 1 entree from the bill, and it was still almost $600 for 3 adults and a toddler.
Brunch at Mawa's Kitchen is excellent! Eggs and bacon were well- prepared and the Lyonnaise potatoes and pancakes were delicious. Be aware that it is pricey.
not worth at all
