I love to take my kids here. Best pancakes on earth!

The food, service, and ambience were all fantastic.

The services provided by the professional management and staff are the main reasons that we keep coming back. The old world, small town elegance is a rare thing, and we value their focus to make sure that everything about the dining experience is excellent.

I highly recomend Poppycocks Café, Aspen

Ordered a crepe and all it had in it was fresh fruit. No filling. And the crepe was over cooked.

The coffee was really good.

Service - okay

We got pretty excited to try this place but we were quickly disappointed
Famous oatmeal pancakes were undercooked and chewy and not even hot
Service was subpar thy looked frantic and the manager was irritated with his staff and customers, our eggs for our Benedict came out hard boiled not poached we didn’t even bother to complain as the manager was not approachable
Would not come back or recommend on a side note the coffee was hot and pretty good

☆ If chaos had a restaurant, this would be it.

Our food arrived luke warm & the also managed to mess up our orders not once, not twice, but three times — and then somehow blamed us for “reordering” things we never asked for. According to them, they had to remake our meals three times because of our confusion. Because clearly we came here for the thrill of watching them practice their do-over skills.

And don’t even think about splitting the check. Nope. This place doesn’t believe in that kind of financial freedom. You’ll pay the way they want you to, or you won’t pay at all — which, honestly, might be the smartest choice here.

So, if you’re in Aspen and looking for an experience that combines blah food, hot fees, and a heaping plate of attitude, congratulations — you’ve found it. Everyone else: save your money and your sanity.

Had breakfast here two mornings as we were passing through. We both had omelettes and they were very tasty. Staff were friendly and service overall was good. Would recommend.

Great food, just as described. Saw the review from “NS” who I had the “luxury” of sitting near: Clearly they don’t know their way around a kitchen as they complained about the pancakes being too soft…um, thats what happens with oatmeal pancakes, duh. The staff tried to work with them. Entitled go home.

We ended up eating breakfast here after church. The server was so pushy. I had pistachio sausage (unique) and sourdough toast, average. My husband had avocado toast, also average. I felt shoved out the door for average food.

Such a quaint spot!! We were served by the manager who was incredibly attentive and kind. The food was simple and delicious, it didn’t over complicate itself and that made it a nice light start to the day. Huge bonus was dog friendly outdoor seating! 🐶🐾🦴

Known for their pancakes which are good but over priced. They are served with corn syrup style maple syrup. Not the real stuff. Feels indicative of the place. Sat at the bar. Service was solid. Food was very average.
