Had an amazing time here. My wife and I came for some cocktails and a snack. I cannot recommend this place enough. The service was attentive and engaging. The drinks and steak tartar were fantastic. Lastly the atmosphere was perfect. They were busy but still maintained a great ambience and it wasn’t loud somehow either. If you are in the area make a stop by here and enjoy!
The appetizer plate (Greek spreads) was good but not great. My fig salad on the other hand was a great mix of flavors. My husband’s moules frites was a non standard style with coconut curry flavor he said was very good, but the fries were just ok, but we both prefer extra crispy so this may be great for most. We both had cocktails that were very nice.
The ambience is very romantic and I really liked the decor. Service was excellent.
A review of any restaurant in Aspen must be taken with a grain of salt when comparing it to comparable restaurants in other towns/cities given the general overpriced market that is Aspen now. The Wild Fig was no exception. It is a bit pretentious, and while the food was very good, it is difficult to rate it as being in the same category as other high end restaurants in other cities whose chefs have been James Beard winners or finalists.
