Tried this place with a group of six.Pros: huge portions if you're really hungry, quality of food was good, very flavorful (esp. the pork)Cons: poor line cook was only guy working the whole place, so service was slowIf you're looking for a lot of tasty food in a zero-frills environment, this is a good placeParking: Park in the big free lot that GPS will guide you to, then walk up the small embankment at the end of the lot--place is right there.Kid-friendliness: 100%

I totally love Hawaiian plate lunches and was excited to try this hidden little grill. The beef was awful and how can you possibly screw up rice? It was like I had a hard rice “rock” and I’m not talking sticky rice. The music was blaring and the utensils were missing.100% disappointing. Would not recommend

My new fave restaurant in Avon! Hawaiian seasoned chicken, steak, shrimp and more. We had volcano fries with steak and chicken on rice. Great flavors and friendly staff. And for about $10/ person. Highly recommended!!!! (Poke too but we didn't get that)

Just about everything about this place is great. It's one of my favorite places to eat BUT even during open hours MOST times it's closed!!! Random days and random times a day it's closed even when it's within the middle of open business hours. I have to drive 30 minutes to eat here and most of the time it's closed when I get here. Extremely frustrating and yes I know I can call to be sure but why should I have to call every time just to see if it's open or now. Even now writing this review it's 2:11pm on a Thursday and it's closed when it says open 10am-7pm.

macaroni salad was DELISH, kinda small portion though. Spam unfortunately was hard and crunchy, rice was old + falling apart before we even opened it :( it was fine/salvageable, just disappointing with all the good reviews! we did mobile pickup around 430 but if you’re here def get the Mac salad

Delicious food, no vegetarian options, better to go

Katsu was nicely (and freshly) cooked, the katsu sauce was superb and very flavorful. Musubi was delicious. However the I prefer the spam to rice ratio to have a LITTLE thicker spam. Still very good. Husband got the plated with steak and pork. The steak was excellent and the pork was well seasoned and paired very well with the rice. Small soda options BUT they have Jarritos soda so bonus points for that. The cashier/cook was a little … quiet(?) didn’t greet when we walked in or ask if we needed help, no big deal but might be off putting for others.
Super sad, it’s Labor Day weekend and coming home from maroon bells was excited to stop for some ono pupus and grinds but place was dark, closed. We were looking forward to meeting the owners, as we lived on Kauai and my husband’s family lives on Maui. Super bummed. Didn’t realize that the owners have another location so maybe that one was open. Would suggest calling ahead if you want to visit.

I came by this location at 6:40. Hoping to get a quick bite to eat. They were already closed... Maybe they should change their hours of operation.

Order from from here on Saturday that I really just wanted to try something different, I give the food a 4/5 because they don’t use salt on the rice and regardless if you add sauce on it you can taste how bland it is but everything else had a really good flavor, the fries were top notch! I do recommend to get the pig over the chicken is really flavorful, the chicken was really crispy but since it was dry and the rice was also dry I didn’t enjoy it as much! The service was excellent they were really nice and had good vibe the whole time! Also affordable, also I had forgotten to take pictures before and this are from when I was already eating them
