Love this family run restaurant. We eat it every time we come to town. Either avon, Gypsum or Junction.
Kai Island Grill in Avon is a new favorite restaurant for many. The menu features Hawaiian-seasoned chicken, steak, shrimp, and more, with standout dishes including volcano fries, katsu, musubi, and poke. The katsu sauce is particularly flavorful, and the steak is excellent. While the service can be a bit slow due to limited staff, the cashier/cook prepares food nicely and freshly. The portions are generous, and the prices are affordable, making it a great value. The restaurant is kid-friendly and offers free parking. The only downside is the limited soda options, although they do offer Jarritos soda. The cashier/cook could be a bit more welcoming. Overall, Kai Island Grill is a great place for those looking for tasty, filling food in a laid-back environment.
