We really enjoyed Zachs Cabin! The food and service were amazing, and it was a fun ride to the restaurant in a sleigh pulled by a snowcat! Highly recommend!

The view and atmosphere on their own justify a 5 star review. The quality of the food and service were added extras which also as standalone items justify a 5-star. The duck appetizer is one of the most complex and interesting appetizer dishes I have ever had. Elk entree absolutely fantastic. Kind service. Bronson toom great care of us and was obviously passionate about the food and experience he provided. Wouldn't miss this place - absolutely great experience!

We couldn't have had a better experience! Our ride up the mountain on the snowcat was awesome! We were immediately greeted by their team and they even had the red carpet rolled out! Our server, Kayt was exceptional! We are a family of 6 and she was incredibly friendly, professional, fun, patient and took time to explain all of the entrees and appetizers we were considering. All of our meals were amazing! The fondue appetizer, the filet and short ribs were our favorites...The old fashion is pretty awesome too!! We would highly recommend this one of a kind experience!
Don't normally write reviews, but this was an amazing experience. From the snow cat ride up and down to our servers. Bronson was so attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and location. Food was unique and delicious. A must go to when in Vail!
Alpine Cheese fondue was a hit with everyone. Children's menu is a bit pricey once you start adding sides so they may be better off with the regular menu ($13 for a side of fruit)
I had an amazing night at Zach's Cabin. The sleigh ride up at sunset was beautiful and the experience at Zach's Cabin as even better. Definitely recommend this place for a nice date or group of friends looking for a unique experience.
I have over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry. This was one of the most disappointing experiences I have ever had. We have dined at Zachs cabin multiple times in the last 10 years. Both lunch and dinner. Typically the experience has been wonderful. Tonight however was a different experience. I left before ordering. We were the first party to arrive just after 5 pm. The entire restaurant was empty. Inside the temperature was well over 70 degrees. The male host or manager sat us at a table next to the fireplace. I asked if we could be moved to another table away from the fire, preferably next to a window. He hesitated then moved us to another table on the other side of the fireplace. It is a double sided fireplace… as he sat us he said we should be patient because he now was double seating the server. I asked again before taking my seat if he had a table farther from the fire (which he did, the restaurant has maybe 20-30 tables). Again we were the first people to arrive. The only other party was a table of 4 and was in the process of being seated right next to us. He said no again. We sat for maybe another 10 min as another party of 2 arrived. People were arriving slowly in 10/15 min increments. Plenty of time for a host or manager to juggle a few tables around. I went outside to cool off (literally and figuratively). The sommelier asked if I was okay. I told him the host/manager was an idiot and it was too hot where we were seated. The host manager reluctantly came outside and claimed he was fully booked and there was nothing he could do. I don’t doubt he was fully booked, but there were plenty of tables to move around. Many 6 tops that could have been swapped. By this time still only 4-5 tables had been seated. He was more concerned with telling me I couldn’t speak to him in a certain tone or language than solving the issue. I left and took the ride back down before ordering. I HAVE OPENED MULTIPLE RESTAURANTS. RAN YEARS OF VALENTINES DAY DINNERS AND DONE WELL OVER 500-600 COVERS A NIGHT. I have worked at the pinnacle of fine dining. Both Bouchon in Napa Valley and the French Laundry. I was a host, manager, dishwasher, chef. I served as a restaurant consultant. This is not how business with $70+ entrees is supposed to be run. The host/manager is not able to handle this job. He is more concerned about controlling his environment than satisfying guest needs. This was not a guest first experience. At the bottom of the mountain when I returned another employee shared this was not the first complaint he has heard recently. Zachs Cabin has a problem.
Zach's Cabin was a lovely experience as usual. The staff is so accomodating and personable. The menu is amazing and we enjoyed the fun additions of cheese fondue appetizer and especially the chocolate fondue for dessert. The sleigh ride up is so fun and we had a great time. Bonus: Zach's has a phenomenal wine list!!
Decent food. But man....the service was just not great. And it's almost like they knew it but didn't care because you were already trapped there from the ridiculous "sleigh" ride. By "sleigh" they mean an open air trailer pulled by a tractor plow with wet blankets so you can get frostbite as you look at the stars on your way to the most overpriced fleece job you can find in beaver creek. The Elk was good.

Idea of this place sounds cool- but just not worth it. “Sleigh” ride is a glamorous term. Fondue was good, short rib was good- don’t bother with anything else on the menu. Service BLOWS. Overpriced

Wonderful experience at Zach’s Cabin. The sleigh ride up and down were a treat. Service food and the cabin itself were all fantastic. Highly recommend but be aware it can be rather pricey.

Zach's never disappoints. The snow cat ride up and down is always fun, the food always top-notch, and our server, Sydney , was terrific. The cheese fondue appetizer was a huge portion, but we ate it all!
We booked Zach's Cabin for our last night in Beaver Creek and it was phenomenal! Riding up the snowcat at night is an amazingly unique start to the evening, followed by great food in a comfy lodge atmosphere, but that's not what sold us. What really exceeded our expectations was the incredible service from the staff and particularly our waiter. His friendly personality set the tone and his menu recommendations were totally on-point. Lastly, we HIGHLY RECOMMEND finishing your meal with their specialty doughnut dessert!
The sleigh ride to Zach's cabin was such a unique experience! The "coachman" was friendly and helpful. The view was incredible and overall the experience was fun for our family. We were also lucky that it snowed on our way down adding to the ambience! Zach's cabin is a beautiful, cozy place with wonderful service. The food however for the price, was nothing to write home about. We had 5 different meals and 4 of us thought the meal was "good" but not for the price....for the price we expect "excellent" food.
