Heather's Savory Pies and Tapas was one of the best experiences that I had here in Colorado. Everything from the food, the hospitality, the ambiance, and the drinks were top notch. Food: 5/5 We were not too hungry so we ordered one appetizer and one savory pie to share. For the appetizer, we got the stuff mushrooms. They super flavorful and plump. I just wished they had more than four of them. For the entree, we ordered the Shepards pie. It was my first time having it, but boy was it delicious. The mash potatoes were creamy and the lamb was mouthwatering. It paired so well with the cheesy bread that they gave us. Service: 5/5 If I could give this more than I five I would. All of the servers were so sweet and helpful. We had a seat at the bar and was quickly greeted by Nora. She is the best and truly made our experience. She shared so many of her stories and experiences and chatting to her made out night. Ambiance: 5/5 There was live music in this restaurant but it was not overpowering. It was mellow and smooth and we even recognized some of the songs they played. It brought out a wonderful lively crowd to this sleepy little town. I definitely recommend making a reservation because as the night went on, more and more people showed up and there eventually was a small wait.

Food was delicious. We had reservations and our party of 6 was seated right away. Everyone enjoyed thier food and thier drinks. Everyone was super nice and very attentive. The singer/guitarist was really good and made the evening very enjoyable. Highly recommend you check it out if you are visiting Basalt.

Service is attentive and pleasant. I would order the tuna tartare again. We made a reservation and were seated at a high top by the bar. When the live music started it made it hard to hear each other but everyone seemed to be having a good time - and the folks at the bar seemed like regulars.

This is a really nice and quaint restaurant with a smooth atmosphere. The service is great and super friendly. The food will leave you with no leftovers, so enjoy! Pricing is reasonable, and the live music is mellow and not loud. This location was recommended, and it's a great recommendation.

I love this place. The service, ambience and decor make this a very comfortable setting to receive masterfully crafted down home cooking. The menu is diverse and filled with comfort food. The empanadas are a must! The star of the menu are the homemade pot pies. There are several iterations, and everyone is spot on. The pot roast with horseradish mashed potatoes is better than anything mom made! Under no circumstances should you forget to have dessert. The pistachio cake is unique and delicious.

Food was phenomenal! They were busy, so the service wasn't the best and our server always seemed in a rush. Had to wait 20ish minutes after asking for the check. Would highly recommend their pies!

A local treasure in the town of Basalt,Co. Good serving sizes, well prepared, wonderful staff. All of the desserts are all worth trying to see which one appeals to your desert desire. My favorite was the pistachio cake, absolutely delicious. The ambience was lovely. We first noticed the hanging lights that lit up like little sparkling fairies. Once we were greeted, we knew that we hit the ball out of the park with this charming restaurant. Highly recommended!

Owner did her best to squeeze us in at a table for early lunch when they opened even though we did not have a reservation. I was told the chicken pot pie would take 20 minutes to bake from the waitress. Seeing they were pie people, I asked for a slice of blueberry pie with ice cream while I waited. Couple next to us asked if I was truly eating blueberry pie before lunch (friendly environment with others wanting to talk) It was delicious. I think I enjoyed it more than the pot pie. Live music was enjoyable and musician did his best to make us all laugh. It is a louder atmosphere on the weekends. So don't go expecting it to be a quiet atmosphere. Fun, fresh, and festive.

Staying in Basalt to ski and this was a restaurant within walking distance. While we showed up at an odd hour (kind of in between lunch and dinner) we could still order soups/salads/pies -- no entrees. Ordered the Brussels sprouts, a traditional chicken pot pie, and the pork tamale pie. They were all hearty and tasty as heck! The ambiance of the restaurant was homey and inviting. Dessert was a slice of key lime pie which was awesome. Loved this meal after a day of skiing and enjoyed the experience.
