This restaurant is absolutely fantastic, from the quality of the food, Basque tapas, paella, interesting pasta dishes. We had the summer watermelon, tomato and buratta salad, jamon pan, fried artichokes, shrimp with garlic sauce, paella, halibut and looked longingly at nearby tables for the meats. The value is excellent, and the restaurant deserves more people to get in their car and drive to Basalt to enjoy it!

I used to love this restaurant, however the past couple of times I've dined at Tempranillo, the food wasn't great Good, but not great. Super expensive and I didn't feel like it was anything special.

Food was hit or miss. Paella had an odd flavor and a couple of the mussels smelled very badly. However, octopus appetizer, linguine dish with clams, and other dishes were great. Server seemed to forget us at times, resulting in at least two or three tables that were sat after us having their order taken and getting their food. We also had hoped to treat it like a traditional Spanish tapas experience, ordering a few plates at a time, but waiter grabbed our menus after first round, so we then just picked a couple of main dishes as it didn't seem we would get the chance to order again. Very cute patio and nice staff.

Dining experience was not good. Booked to celebrate husbands birthday. Rude owner and host who didn't even welcome us when we walked in, was told to pick any table, was served wrong cocktail, service was extremely slow and waiter was running around haphazard and unorganized. Short staff and rude service. Waited 30min for our check finally had to walk to bar to ask for it to pay. Won't be back.

It was our anniversary, we were seated in front of the fireplace, wonderful. Seafood appetizer wonderful. Mushroom pasta wonderful, I had cioppino, deep rich tomato broth with fennel and very fresh seafood. We finished with a Catalonia chocolate crème brûlée, so rich and creamy! After a 5 mile hike earlier we were very hungry and very happy with our great dinner. Thank you, L and C

Always a delight and pleasure to dine at Tempranillo. What a gift to have wonderful ambiance, welcoming and helpful service and great food and wine/drink options in our little town. We haven't found such consistent positive experiences anywhere else around.

This former local favorite was disappointing last night. Service was excellent, food was fair, smaller portions that are more expensive. Won't be back unless we hear its gotten better. Too bad.

Tables were crammed together making the dining experiencing awkward and challenging. I realize New Years Eve is a very busy night to dine out...but too much was sacrificed at our expense. Service, Ability to converse, getting in and out of our chair was nearly impossible without intruding on the next table of diners, etc. we would never dine again here for a holiday meal. None of our requests on Open Table were met, which was unfortunate because it happened to also be an important anniversary celebration.
