I’d give zero stars if I could, absolutely horrible. We ordered takeout and were told 10 minutes ended up being 45 minutes with the reason being our food sat in the back and got cold while the employees at the front were nowhere to be found. Then to top it all off the burger gave me and my girlfriend food poisoning. There’s a reason this place is rated 2 stars, honestly just stay away from eating anywhere at Ameristar the food is kinda pricey and absolute garbage that will get you sick. You’ve been warned.

Went to breakfast last Sunday. They were under staffed, and their manager was horrible. She took our order, and never put it into the system. Another waitress came over 25 mins later and asked if we wanted any food. Then after we get our food, there was 1 single piece of bacon in my “hangover skillet”.
Manager proceeded to give us the bill. When we asked for a discount or to not pay she claimed “my manager said you have to pay or we are calling security”. Absolutely terrible service, and the food was meh.
No wonder they have 2.8 stars. AVOID THIS PLACE.

Toni was amazing if I come here and I’m not sat at her table I will just walk out and I need her to be available at all times because she had such a great attitude, atmosphere and made our dining experience that much better. I’d give her 10 stars if I could.

Terrible service.
Place is cute and all, but service sucked, and food was not good for the most part. The menu says they can split the check 3 ways, but the waitress told us she couldn't split our check after we had started ordering. There's an automatic 20%, which would be fine by me if we had received good service, but not a single drink was refilled, not even water, and she couldn't even bother mixing the strawb puree and the lemonade together. I'm a server myself, so I try to be understanding, but there was no excuse for not giving a single refill to your table. Plates we didn't like: mac n cheese, chicken picatta (no flavor, just chicken pasta pepper and lemon), nachos (just a bunch of tortilla and cheese with 5 little cut up pieces of chicken), the wrap had chicken in one half and not in the other, the burger and sandwich were served cold . The tenders, cobb salad, and wings were okay at most. Quesadillas were good. I would not dine here when you have so many options at the different hotels in the area.

First, it took a long time for us to get a table due to the hostess handling other people ordering food to-go. Second, our server, Rahul, wasn't very attentive. Took a minimum of 30 mins to take our order/drinks and another 45 mins to get the food, didn't get refills unless we flagged him down, and forgot to correct issues with our order when brought to his attention. On to the food, I had the chicken fried steak. Everything was barely above room temperature except for the mashed potatoes which were ice cold. After waiting 15ish minutes for new mashed potatoes, the rest of my food got cold and wasn't enjoyable.

I have worked in the food industry and owned my own food service restaurants; by far, this takes the cake as the worst service and food in Colorado. I get better service from Denny's. What do you have to do to get service in this restaurant? I waited an hr for someone to take my drink order. Another half an hr to take my food order. Servers to my left and right are talking amongst each other acting like they have no one to serve. Some were even on their phones which is very rude considering I'm paying more money not only to have food but also to enjoy cooked food. BEWARE OF THE FOOD!!! It's undercooked and sadly, I wouldn't even give this food to my neighbor dog for fear the poor dog would get sick. Close the restaurant for one day and train your cooks what is standard cooking temperatures before someone truly sues you.

This was the absolute worst Prime Rib (or steak) that I have ever had the displeasure of tasting in my entire life. It tasted like a cheap combination of dry ham and beef jerky. The carrots were still living and breathing, they were not cooked. The potatoes were dryer than the Sahara. The espresso martinis tasted like sewage with chocolate sauce. My wife thinks the Prime Rib tasted like old leftover meat from the garbage. The service was meh, but the food was other worldly awful. Save your money for the slot machines, you’re better off even if you lose all your money.

Had a burger because it was free (penn cash) so the price was right. It was sub par. Lettuce was wilted. Bottom bun was soaked. The rest was ok. The salad needed to be chopped up more. Cucumbers had the centers cut out?? Why?, not sure. Pickes tasted weird. Dressing was good.
My MAIN reason for always staying/coming to
Ameristar is the Eggs Benedict at Fireside. For walk-ins, the breakfast menu was cut to 3 items (not good). No more eggs benedict. But they do still have it on the room service menu. It was just not hot by the time it arrived. But, glad I asked for extra hollandaise, because the amount they put on was not adequate. Lastly, they said it was a long wait at the restaurant (dinner) even though there were many empty tables.....not enough servers. The Penn app is THE WORSE. I couldn't use it to order and cannot call. They did have a QR on the room TV to use and that worked [on the second try].

My husband and I really enjoyed our breakfast here! The service was slightly slow at first, but our server Q checked back on us multiple times and was very personable. The chicken fried steak and pancake were stand outs. We won't hesitate to visit again!

I wanted a good burger and ask my server if they served a hand pressed burger or frozen patties and he assured me they were hand pressed. It was 2 patties and were Grey and tasted like they were almost boiled!
My wife and I split it and I could barely eat my half. Great service but I can't remember when I've had a worse cheese burger...
