The steaks were stringy and tough. The lobsters ? were overcooked and dried out. To many new staff members did not know the job very well. A few told me they were new and still learning the job.
Burger is good...
I wish they had good gravy for chicken fried meats and biscuits, but it's not... it's weird.
Servers definitely hate their jobs. You can distinguish the new peppy employees from the old grumpy ones. Water cups are usually dirty (I bring my own drinks now) Salad was brown, limp, and sour. Fries always come out cold (you shouldn't make these until the rest of the food is almost done). Honestly, we only go when we get free comps......

Where do I begin? The professional attitude and appearance of my hostess, LeeAnn, is exactly what I look for when I dine out. I ordered the Breakfast burrito and I must say that the Gilpin is definitely underselling this bad boy! What I got was exactly what was described on the menu, but at least double! The sausage had a smoked quality that isn't normally found in Breakfast sausage you get In BlackHawk, the potatoes were fried to perfection and still maintained that "crunch"...
