We recently visited the Monarch hotel in Black Hawk Co. The resturant there, the Chop House was awesome. Chad was our server and made the experience worth the price. He went the extra mile for sure. We had the fillet steak which was melt in your mouth tender. Hardly had to chew it! Desert was tableside made raspberry Gelato with liquid nitrogen. Quite the show! You will not regret the visit. Thanks Chad!

Steaks were over cooked and food was not very hot. Also they messed up the order. One guest in ate party of 4 had to wait till the made his order. While the rest of us ate. As only 6 people in their when we ordered.

Not to sure about reviews from a year ago and beyond come from, this Chophouse has only been open 3mos.Back to the review this Chophouse in Blackhawk, CO was excellent. The food was spot on and the service impeccable. Had the table side service which was as fresh as you can get. Charles and the rest of the staff were so nice and gracious for a birthday we had at the table. Complimentary champagne and appetizer before dinner. After dinner a complimentary cake w/fresh berries that was enough for the table, and pastries in a bag for later. The restaurant manager (Dan?) was so nice as well checked on the tables thru out, and arranged a tour of the suites in the hotel. I have recommended to friends and family this is the place to go when in Blackhawk.Definitly will return.

Stopped in here for breakfast with the wife while visiting Black Hawk. Our receipt says café but the pictures where we ate are Mill City Chop House; either way it was in the Saratoga Casino. I literally had the best Breakfast Burrito I have ever had here. It was amazing...... wife really enjoyed here food also. Can't say enough for Jena, our waitress. Was very polite and gave us several suggestions on what to do around town. Will be back and thanks Jena!

Great steaks and sides! Service was exceptional! Semi-Romantic if you go after dark and get a window table... A bit pricey compared to others in metro area but SOOOOO worth it!
