This is the best buffet that I have been to on a Sunday. The lobster and crab legs are cooked perfect and they give you several clusters! There is other food options as well and they are good too. ONE THING….EVERYWHERE should have diabetic friendly, sugar free options and this buffet does not.

Wow! Prime rib was well flavored, as was the rest of the food. The lobster was so tender and just melted in your mouth.

Do not sleep on the macaroons. They are some of the best and most perfectly flavored I ever had.

I went there with my family to celebrate my birthday, we were a big group of people and more people were coming so we stayed more than an hour in our table, after the hour the server just stopped giving us refill of our drinks and only offering refills to the new people in our table, they even stop looking at us coming at the table, they were only picking up our plates, and the manager was looking at us and pointing in the most rude way, each people on my table paid $60 per person so the least they can do is treating us nice, or let you know at the front that there’s a limit of time, btw there wasn’t a line outside of people waiting so that was not an excuse, the food was not good, we all spent the night with acid reflux. My family couldn’t even sing happy birthday to me because of the way they were looking and treating us. Super disappointed with the staff.

We tried this buffet and the selection was great. I’d recommend the prime rib and the steak, they were cooked perfectly. The salmon with butter was also tender and delicious. Lobster tail was medium sized. The guacamole was also great. Great variety of fruits and desserts and our waitstaff was friendly and quick.

Variety 9/10. Taste 2/10. Decently priced and a wide variety of food that all blends into each other. Service isn’t great and they’re only serving drinks.

Definitely a quantity over quality experience here. There is a wide selection of foods. Unfortunately most of them are not very good, especially for the entry price. The steaks did not have much flavor to them, and the Herb flavored steak was very chewy. The saving grace was how much crab we got with a ticket. Not the best crab we've had, but definitely decent for a buffet. Tried the mac and cheese, and mashed potatoes which were both bland. The salmon was also somehow bland, the sauce topping it brought out a little bit of taste, but was pretty much inedible. The black bean pork from the Asian station was probably the only actually great food (short of the desserts), and that was a smidge salty too.

People kept telling use this buffet was good. It is not. Do not come here if you have other options. Lan Yap's down the road would be my choice for actually good food (and cheaper!)

It’s good but not for 65.00 a person. If there making that much money why can’t they have all you can eat crab legs, because they get cold so fast so either eat them first or last but definitely not spread apart because cold crabs are not that great!

The food was really good. Crab was cooked good the lobster tail was ify..... first time there did not know what all the extra tickets were so was just like ok. Our server nor the cashier told us nothing about those tickets. We found out when my boyfriend went up there for crab legs and they asked for a ticket. We had no idea till someone in line told us. After that was fine.

We visited there for lunch on Wednesday. The food was quite good, and there were plenty of options to choose from. Considering the affordable price of around $30, it was a great deal.

Any complaints about any aspect of this buffet must surely be from picky people. The variety is tremendous, and the cost is more than fair--the equivalent to a few minutes of play in the casino, except you're actually getting great food. Really delicious food!

I've seen people stand and look at the food display that goes on and on and say there isn't enough. Or, they get a delicious slice of rib roast and gripe that they have to get up to go get another slice instead of having it brought to them. The common trait seems to be geezeritis: Just gripe to be griping. I'm in that age bracket, but thank goodness I recognize good food, good service, and a fun place to enjoy a wide variety of everything you could want.

There are other places in the Monarch to eat instead of the buffet. But I love the buffet and consider it the main part of the fun of Blackhawk.

We were a bit disappointed tonight.
Lobster and crab legs were super over salted.
Out of our 6 tickets for crabs and lobsters, we only used 2.
We were there last year and the food tasted much better. Might be a new trick to make people eat less and drink more water.
