Delicious food, friendly staff, and the tea is great. If you want to try Mediterranean food go there. Thank you

More of a 4.5 rating because the building is always hot and stuffy, but price to portion ratio and taste it's a great spot. Because it's on the hill it's open late- already a bonus. Hands down one of the better Middle Eastern places in town

This is the best place in the Hill to get French fries. They have a sandwich combo that comes with a generous person of fries. Or, you can just get the fries and it's even more fries.

Love the honey and cheese pizza

Very much worth considering and a decent value. Counter service. You really can't go wrong with kebabs over rice.

Possibly a new establishment. Or a remodel of a previous Mediterranean restaurant? Either way it amazing. Wanted some food before a show at the Fox Theater. Illegal Pete's nearby was slammed, as it should be, so we decided to be adventurous and give this a try. Empty but surprisingly so! Wide menu selections all deliciously made to order. I got a huge Falafel appetizer and my partner went for a full chicken kabob plate. Difference is portion size between appetizer and Kanye obviously. Also rice, hummus, olives, and a small side salad to accompany your food. Prices were excellent and the food was exploding with flavor. I think when this place is fully up and running it'll be an excellent addition to the nearby food currently available.

Why isn't this place more crowded? I mean authentic Mediterranean food. It reminds me of all the good food I've had in Europe. Gyros and gyro platters available. The yellow rice is good and so much flavor. Platters come with rice, salad, hummus and pita. I got the chicken kebabs and had enough chicken for leftovers. (Then again I eat small portions). They have veggie options too like falafel and pizza. Smoothies sounded good too. We went on a Saturday night before a concert and it was EMPTY. Soda machine was down, but they had some canned sodas for the time being. Food is made on the spot. So everything is fresh. Pitas are most likely store bought but still good quality. I would definitely recommend this spot if you are craving some Mediterranean food. Only street parking is available. Restrooms are clean.

Tasty chicken shawarma and hummus plate with fries, at a decent price. The chicken was a bit fatty, but had a good flavor. Alforat has a great location right on the hill, and the ambience is nice - brick walls and a tin ceiling. Nobody was around for an early dinner on a Friday (5:30-6:30 pm). Would eat here again.

One of the best in town, everything cooked super fresh by one of the two brothers who own it. Incredibly fair pricing for the amount of food. Highly recommend, I frequent several times a month, never had a bad experience.

The food used to be good when I first found this place but it changed since. I supported them for 2 years until a few weeks ago. From last year, the price went up a bit, no change into the portions (same and small), the one guy who is always there at the cashier is very moody, unfriendly, lacks customer service, never formally greets or welcomes customers. He is also stingy, god forbid someone asked for the extra garlic sauce, they get charged instead of offering it complementary. They don't have deals, don't offer meal with any extra sides even in the form of promotion. The sandwich and wraps are never offered with french fries when other places offer it with that certain meal option. Either way, I'm done supporting this place, they are stingy, the food is overpriced compared to the meal you are getting, it isn't filling and flavorful as it used to be and I'm looking to find somewhere else where returning customers and loyalty matter.

So I just had this place for the first and LAST time.. Probably the weakest, saddest excuse for a gyro I have ever had. Upon entering I noticed immediately they didn't have any meat cooking on any of the traditional stand up grills used to properly cook gyro meat. I asked the guy about it and he said "Oh we just grill it bro". I should have realized why NO ONE else was in there and left at that point. So I foolishly proceeded to buy a $9 gyro with barely any ultra thin shaved sub-par meat on it, stuffed into a TORTILLA (not a pita) and wrapped up like a kid sized burrito. Luckily I was able to fill up on crappy freezer burnt fries. This place sucks. Walk like 10 more feet and get a real gyro from the Smelly Deli if you want something good.
