Waitress was rude. Similar to the previous reviewer, we got the up and down looks and a lecture about how busy they were despite many empty tables. I explained politely that we did not make a reservation because there were so many available online we didn't think we needed to. We were seated at the community table for not making a reservation. Since it was empty we were like ok, but we then watched her seat others without reservations at tables for tea service despite lecturing us that we could not order that as the kitchen may not have enough since we didn't make a reservation. Painfully slow service for the a la carte we ordered. We never got water refills despite being there for over an hour. Even when we asked for water refills, they never came. Food was just ok. We won't be back, but clearly anyone wanting to come here should make a reservation just because despite it being empty.

My daughter and I decided to try this restaurant since there was a wait at the famous The Sink across the street and we were pleasantly surprised. I have never left a review for food before but it was so amazing here, I had to post. I had the lobster eggs Benedict . Best I’ve ever had, even beating out restaurants in Maine. The decor is eclectic- Alice and wonderland. The tea was amazing. Be sure to visit this restaurant on the hill after your university visit! Amazing.

I took my granddaughter here for her 3 year birthday present. She was enthralled. It is a magical place for a little one. The staff was wonderful and she felt very special. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Thank you Alice and Rosie for making my angel's birthday so special!! Oh, did I mention they gave her a gorgeous red rose❣️

This is the cutest place. Went for tea with 2 daughters and grandma. Amazing baked goods, small sandwiches, tea, lemonade, champagne, and more. Atmosphere is unlike anything in Boulder. Will definitely come back!

My new favorite spot! Alice and Rose is for foodies! I ended up eating there twice during my trip to Boulder. I loved the spicy tangerine chili olives, the charcuterie tower and the California eggs benedict. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between high design and not feeling like I had to dress up. The attention to detail in the decor is simply mesmerizing, elevating the overall experience and making me feel like I was on a real vacation somewhere special. We will be back soon!

I can’t comment on the food because I never got to try it. Even with a documented reservation for brunch I was turned away. The dining room was almost empty, with only a few tables seated. The hostess looked at my Google reservation on my phone and denied she saw it on her end. She told us we can sit outside or wait for an hour to sit inside. I can’t help but wonder if it’s because of the way we looked. A little more brown than their target audience.BIPOC- save your money honey!

The food we had during our visit was delicious and absolutely no complaints in regards to that. The service was another story. For starters, we had went there on a Saturday morning for brunch. When we arrived, the restaurant was pretty empty, and a few tables having reserved seating signs out. The hostess took one look up and down at us and promptly told went on and on about how booked up they were and she wasn't sure she could seat us. She then continued to glance around the dining room "searching" for an empty table, in a sea of many. Finally she told us she could squeeze us into two tiny tables on the front porch. The front porch was in direct sun, with heavy vinyl curtains closed. Allowing no air flow, sitting in hot stale air.During our time sitting literally enclosed next to the front door, we saw all of five people come in to the restaurant and having never been anywhere near full in the dining room. While the food was great, it's not enough to make me ever go back. I can get great food elsewhere and have much better service.

Wonderful, funky, stop for brunch! We really enjoyed the Alice themed decor and our food was delightful. I had the eggs Benedict, the best I've had in a restaurant in quite some time and my partner had the French toast, which she thoroughly loved. The server liked the design on the latte so much she took a picture of it before bringing it to the table. Looked like making a reservation is a good idea, at least for weekend brunch. Parking can be tough on the Hill but there are pay lot across the street. Definitely recommend checking Alice and Rose out!

My granddaughters and I celebrated the 24th birthday for one of them on Sunday. It was the first time they had been to Alice and Rose and they were so excited. We ordered from the entree menu starting with a pancake tower to share; we were all exceptionally happy with our individual choices--both drinks and food. My only disappointment was that when I made the reservation and was asked if we were celebrating a special occasion I noted that it was a birthday. When asked for other requests I asked for a piece of birthday cake for the celebrant since I saw that offering noted in another review. There was no mention of the birthday by the either the hostess or server. To avoid discomfort between the server and our party I did not mention it. It would have been the perfect touch to a really special gathering.

I helped design this place! So I know the aesthetic is AMAZING! cannot wait to come try it in personEdit: came to visit and am super impressed. Everything design wise was implemented well, and no corners were cut, creating a memorable visual experience. The service was phenomenal and everyone seemed so happy to be working here. I got the avocado toast and I am in love with the crunchy chili oil they include. If you're in the area, I highly recommend it. For cocktails, wine, or tea. They've got something for everyone.
