The real reason to visit Alpine Modern Café in Boulder is the food. I drove all the way from Denver just to eat there, which should tell you everything you need to know. The breakfast bacon croissant was excellent—fresh, full of flavor, and completely unforgettable. It’s the kind of dish you think about later in the day and start planning your return visit around.
The coffee was also very good—exactly what you want from a café—and the space has a relaxed, welcoming feel. The café is in a great location and easy to get to from anywhere in Boulder, which is helpful since resisting a second visit would be nearly impossible. Parking can be a little limited, and you may have to park down the road… but consider it a warm-up walk for the croissant. It’s worth it.
I would absolutely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a memorable meal and a great coffee experience, with a side of “why didn’t I come here sooner?”

$8.00+ for a small late is beyond UNREASONABLE!! Will NOT RETURN. Nothing but fake reviews. When is the last time you wrote a happy review for a coffee? Give it a rest, it’s obvious!
This is a very cute place with great coffee and a a nice outdoor seating area. Right near Chautauqua park so a good spot to go before or after a hike. Coffee was really good too and loved the seasonal chai

Not a fan of dogs being inside a place I eat food. Is it so much of a hassle to tie them up outside?
Shout out the two lady baristas for the snickering and whispering fit when I told scarf man I didn’t want his hairy ball of dirt creeping up on me.

The food was the real standout. Everything was fresh and full of flavor, and the burrata especially was unbelievable. It is the kind of dish you keep thinking about after you leave. I would absolutely recommend this spot for anyone looking for a memorable meal and a great coffee experience. 10/10.

With the arrival of autumn, the atmosphere has become much more pleasant. The place feels warm and cozy. The staff are friendly, service is fast and attentive, the coffee is delicious and prices are average.

Love this location they are bold with their drink making but sometimes it’s a miss. It really depends on the staff working if you are going to have a good time or even good coffee but more hits than misses.

Always busy - and for good reason! Their bacon breakfast croissant is the best breakfast sandwich you’ll ever have. And the matcha is done perfectly. Fresh strawberries are used for strawberry syrup.

Super overpriced and mediocre food. A place where you pay predominantly for the hip and quite charming vibes.
