the mussels were exquisitely cooked, and big! Loved the romaine and pear and cheese salad, with candied walnuts for dessert! Highly recommend Russel's place, been going for years..

I had the worst experience with my food, ordered the Pollo puttanesca which came with grilled chicken. The pasta was good and the sauce accompanying it was delicious but the chicken strips were absolutely awful. If I had bought chicken at Costco and warmed it up it would have been better. It was chewy, non descriptive looking and awful in taste. I should have refused to eat the food but I’m not one to judge and make a fuss.
It was extremely disappointing and disgusting. This is an establishment that has a pretty nice menu and the pricing reflects that the expectation is higher. Please do better.

Food: best chicken parm and handmade pasta I’ve ever had. I substituted pappardelle for penne and Arabiatta for Alfredo.
Salads were excellent as were the charcuterie options.

Service: we sat at the bar and loved hanging out with Jessica, the bartender.

Atmosphere: great vibe, music and bar seating

Highly recommend

Very chill atmosphere, friendly servers, and great food. I ordered the Frutti De Mare. It had great flavor and a bit of heat on the back end I loved. The sea food was just a hair overdone but considering we are nowhere near an ocean I can't complain too much. I would definitely go back.

I've had better pizza at airports, and they were more affordable. Go to the pizza garage instead.

We've eaten here twice now and I haven't been pleased either time.

The latest (yesterday) my dish was so salty that it was inedible... tasted so salty it feels like it either had to be done on purpose or that the chef accidentally dropped the salt shaker into the sauce and forgot about it. I ordered the rigatoni w/ prosciutto, asked for roasted garlic instead of red onions. To make matters worse, our young waitress dropped off the food and never returned to check on us until what seemed about 30 minutes later.

Things I don't like about this place:

* They've a mozzarella bar, but all the mozarella bar dishes force you to select two other things like tomatoes or olives. Why can't we get mozzarella alone, or mozzarella and meat, and call it a day?

* Mozzarella doesn't even feature prominently in their own dishes. That rigatoni I mentioned above, why doesn't it have big pieces of mozzarella by default?

* Most of their dishes are seafood- and meat- heavy, or have mushrooms (not a vegetable). Very little besides salads for a vegetarian to love here. This is strange to me, since Boulder is full of vegetarians and vegans.

* Wine by the glass here is a complete rip-off imo. I could see maybe spending $13+/glass for a bottle of Michael David Rapture somewhere, but the wine list I saw is absurd at these prices. It feels like this restaurant hates their customers and wants to treat them with utter contempt.

* Finally, the atmosphere is very LOUD. The ceiling here is the worst material and acoustics for a restaurant. We were situated near a table of cackling women and I got cold chills down my neck with each ensuing loud cackle. The entire place was just terribly loud.

Food has so much flavor! Took forever for the beers (tapped keg). Got it after we received dinner, but still had to pay for it. That's the only complaint. Server was great and the atmosphere was perfect to catch up with old friends

We drove by and saw the sign that said 'Mozzerella bar' and decided that was worth a try. We read a review where someone complained that they used "too much cheese" and thought now we just have to try it. I am blown away. Everything was incredible, from the pesto to the duck prosciutto to the Pollo Parmigiano with penne Alfredo. I will be returning several times to try more things on the extensive menu, and I don't have any concern about being disappointed.
My only pause was the table was a little sticky and needed a refinish, I think the cleaning chemicals are a bit too harsh on it.

Friday dinner:(~7 pm)

- Walk-in, we(4) got seated immediately. Lovely place, great vibe to go on a double date?, recommended by a friend from the city(5yrs). A little bit on the expensive side.

- Ordered Cheesy garlic bread for appetiser, it’s yummy and filling.

-Tried “Gold rush/Golden nugget” martini, it’s okay, a little too much ginger for me.

-Ordered Linguine Scampi(Shrimp) for entree, it’s the nice portion size, well flavoured, and a perfect dish, the number of shrimp was good too. I’d order again and recommend as well.

- Served in 10 min. Server was sweet and accommodating. Space was clean and was little congested. Parking was okay.
