My favorite poke bowl in boulder, but the last few times I have come during business hours they aren't open. I am actively standing here and there isnt a soul around. I do not live here to just pop in multiple times to see if they are open. But i cant keep going out of my way for them not to be

I was recently at a multi-day conference at the University of Colorado Boulder and I came across Bento-ria nestled over at the Hill in Boulder. What immediately stood out to me was the delectable Japanese cuisine with affordability and a warm, family and student-friendly atmosphere. Conveniently located right next to campus, I decided to give Bento-ria a try after reading and hearing good things about this charming eatery, which is apparently a favorite among locals and students alike. And guess what? It did not disappoint! I ended up eating lunch there three days straight.Bento-ria's menu boasts a delightful array of Japanese dishes, but I always ordered the Miso Soup, Salmon Rolls, and Spicy Buff Rolls. Because it was my first time visiting Colorado and I came at a time when it was super cold, the Miso Soup really helped me out as it warmed my soul. The Spicy Buff Rolls are a spicy seafood lover's dream come true. The melt-in-your-mouth tuna, coupled with a perfect blend of spicy mayo, eel sauce, and crunchy onion flakes, created a symphony of flavors that danced on my taste buds. Equally impressive were the Salmon Rolls, featuring succulent, fresh salmon enveloped in perfectly seasoned rice and nori. Each bite was fantastic, to say the least! Can I just say how I really respect Bento-ria's prices that will not break the bank? The affordability of its menu is particularly noteworthy for students and budget-conscious diners. Generous portion sizes and reasonable prices made it easy for me to indulge in a satisfying meal without sacrificing flavor or quality. However, what truly set Bento-ria apart was the friendly and welcoming atmosphere created by this family-run establishment. The staff, who are warm and personable, made me feel like I was dining in their own home. The cashier was even kind enough to recommend nice places for me to check out around the Boulder area. Whether you are a regular or a first-time visitor, the staff's genuine enthusiasm and dedication to customer satisfaction made each dining experience memorable.Every time I was there, it seemed Bento-ria was the go-to spot for students seeking a delicious and convenient dining option. The sushi restaurant's location makes it an ideal choice for a quick lunch between classes or a relaxing dinner after a long day of studying. The accessibility of Bento-ria adds an extra layer of appeal, making it a hub for both locals and the academic community. As a local favorite and a haven for students, Bento-ria is a must-visit destination that effortlessly combines quality, affordability, and a welcoming atmosphere.Simply put, if you want the best bang for your buck then Bento-ria is THE place to eat.

I enjoy their poke bowls only occasionally because they can be a little too sweet and rich sometimes. However, the staff is really nice and works very quickly for such a small space!Parking: It’s on the hill so parking isn’t great

Great food for very reasonable prices. The service is always quick and the food comes out pre-packaged which is nice when running between classes or errands.

It gave my husband and I diarrhoea for 48 hours.Food was cheap, and taste was fine but the hygiene standard definitely has a huge issue. Would not recommend it and I would rather pay more and avoid the diarrhoea.

I had to leave a review because, I kid you not, I eat here all of the time. While I normally just grab a pickup order, the sweet cashier at the register never fails to put a smile on my face. They always get my order perfectly right, and everything is always incredibly fresh. Highly recommend anything with the tuna!

Food so so goooooddd! Was a little hesitant to try sushi on the hill especially in a basement, but the kitchen is super clean and the fish seemed very fresh. I had the spicy tuna bowl and it was insanneeeee!!

Husband and I had just finished our hike and was looking for a nearby poke place. Bento was located in what I can only describe as a food hall. I was surprised to see just 2 shops open for a Saturday afternoon. We each got a Salmon Poke Bowl and a Fresh Salmon Roll. The portion and quality was fair when keeping price in mind. The poke bowl was more Korean inspired than Hawaiian. The salmon roll was delicious and definitely fresh, as described! Food took a little bit of time to come out, but that's understandable since they make it when you order it and there was an order before us. Staff was friendly. Definitely going to come back when we're in the area to try their other items!Plenty of seating inside. Street parking.

This place is conveniently placed and it's a great environment. All the food is fairly priced and is a perfect amount of food. I visit this place regularly because of how easy it is to just pop in, order and eat your food. It's a perfect place to bring your friends and hang out.

the best sushi you can get for the price in boulder! I always get the spicy combo roll (spicy tuna and spicy salmon - 15 pieces for 11.49). simple but it hits the spot!kind staff and fast service doesn't hurt either.

Food is awesome, and prices can't be beat. If you're a college student, this place is great. If you're looking for a nice atmosphere the former may kill the vibe.
