The food was delicious, except our salad came out very slimy. Our server was great. He took it back and brought us a new one. Overall, food was great. Ambience was great. We enjoyed it.
We eat at Carelli's for their spinach salad and eggplant Parmesan...always delicious! We were seated in the main dining room which we much prefer over the banquet room, at a table that seats four even though we were two. We enjoyed the extra space! I couldn't decide between two red wines and the server graciously offered me a sip of each to help me decide. No one has ever offered that before....it was very much appreciated. Five star experience on all accounts!
Carellis is the only upscale restaurant with an attractive decor outside of downtown, so that alone makes it worth going to. The food is consistently good, the portions are large, the waitstaff was very attentive. I appreciate when the waiter comes by in a timely manner to check that everything came out ok. The biggest disadvantage to this restaurant is limited free available parking and sometimes you can't even get in without a reservation. But overall, I recommend it.
