My wife and I had dinner here after dropping our daughter off at college. I read mixed reviews with some trepidation, but we had a nice time. The food was very good and not overpriced like a Mortons or Ruth Chris Steakhouse. The Service was good as well. The restaurant is directly across from St. Julian and there is a parking garage directly across the street as well.

Great atmosphere, good service. $6 Happy hour specials, live music. It was a great experience. Food was served promptly and was delicious. Burger was small but delectable!

Got right in to the tavern for dinner. I had the small salad and mussels appetizer for my entree. My husband had the prime rib sandwich. He also ordered the corn bread to share, which was an add on to the entree. Corn bread and mussels were amazing. Too full for dessert. Good helpful service.

My family ate at Frank's Chophouse today. The lettuce wedge with bacon and blue cheese was great to the last bite. The mussels and buffalo cauliflower was enjoyed by all. Asian baby back ribs were tender and tasty. The french onion soup is the best in town. Try it - you'll love it! Finally, let me mention the drinks...the Blackbird was especially delicious. The servers are super attentive, friendly, and very interested in pleasing their guests. I will be back again and again, especially when outside seating is available.

Bunch of us ordered burgers...the menu described it as house ground "prime beef." The meat was over handled and overly ground and became compacted. Tough, dry, flavorless, zero fat content, even when cooked to "rare." For a high end steak house this product is completely unacceptable. Oh, and it took 75 minutes to get to us...

Friendly staff, bustling place. We ate in the tavern part and had a couple of dishes from the Boulder Specials section. The grouper sliders were good (but a bit too much melted cheese for my taste). You'll get both bar grub and more eclectic dishes here. A laidback and relaxed place.

Service okay, however, special for evening (listed on the board) not available (was told cook didn't show up). We had steak and baked potato, after 1 hour the waitress said it was almost done. The steak was cold the bake potato was cold. VERY disappointed.

Went to Frank's Chophouse Boulder last night for Happy Hour! The food was all fantastic, the Beef Carpaccio was delicious, the wedge salad soooo good and my hubby and I split the Twin Burger, which was excellent. Chef Adam brought out a small sample of the Meatloaf they make as a Tuesday night special and wow…best Meatloaf I’ve ever had and I live with a Chef. Service was phenomenal as MaryEllen was a rock star! This place is worth a visit. We left very happy.

The atmosphere was very nice and our service was exceptional! However the food was not great. I ordered the fillet and added the Oscar sauce and added a lobster tail and cheddar mashers. My husband had the Florida grouper and it was not good either, he tried to add salt but it he said it did not help. My steak and cheddar mashers were very bland but I will say the lobster tail was pretty good. My husband said the grouper and the risotto were also tasteless. For the price($300.00) we were quite disappointed. I am only hoping this review will help to improve the food quality because it is a beautiful venue and we want to see it succeed

I came here for dinner on a Monday night and came back the next day for Happy Hour. The prices were great for Happy Hour, I sat outside and had great views of the mountains. I had the scallops the night before and they were delicious. Just make sure that the risotto is heated through when you serve it.....

I had a great experience in this restaurant. Food was amazing, customer service outstanding. Definitely will come back. Love the music, the tables outside/inside. Very friendly and romantic.

Overall we enjoyed the restaurant. However the quality and cuts of meat were extremely poor. In addition the steaks came out well done when medium rare was requested. The service was average, but dinks and sides were good. I would likely not return based on the far better options in the area.
