It was an average Italian restaurant. The caprese salad was not a normal one as it was the tomato and mozzarella on top of a big plate of lettuce which is not the traditional caprese. The spicy Tuscan was very good and I was happy to be able to substitute the penne with fettuccine. It was odd that many of their pasta dishes were served with penne. The cannoli were a bit disappointing. There were hardly any chocolate chips and there were cherries served on top which was a first for me. With all of the chocolate and cherry sauce they were hard to eat, but the cream was decent. Overall, if you are just looking for a basic Italian restaurant then this is good enough.

Home made noodles were great. They serve classic Italian food for reasonable prices. Good service.
I came here Halloween night with my fiancé, the atmosphere is wonderful but the service is terrible. We finally got our server after about 15 mins, after that we were only checked on once in our hour sit here. Food was okay, not any flavor but not bad. I’m not sure how they managed to make shrimp dry but that was also an aspect. Overall it was okay, definetly won’t be coming back due to them adding a 6 dollar charge for putting chicken on Alfredo…

We’ve been coming to the Gondolier since the 80s, and this is the first time I’ve been disappointed with a meal. We ordered take-out and brought dinner over for our son and his roommates, but unfortunately, the noodles were very mushy and the meatballs were quite small for the price. It just didn’t feel like the same quality we’ve always loved. Pretty disappointing—especially after spending over $100 on take-out.

4.3 stars where?! This place is horrible. The chicken Marsala was disgusting with overcooked pasta and overall not what Marsala should be. Our waiter made us feel like an inconvenience even though we were his only table. The tiramisu was below average slathered in chocolate sauce, could barely taste the lady fingers. I don't know on what planet this could be considered fine Italian but it's not this one. Go elsewhere.

I cannot imagine how this place has decent reviews. The salad was fine, and the portions were large but that doesn't save how awful the entrees were. We also got several dishes that were dirty and had to be exchanged.

My entre which was Chicken Piccata had a flour base in the sauce. It was well seasoned but it made the dish heavy. Also not worth $20 at all.

The food is quite good. With home made pasta, what’s there not to like? It’s a store-front location in a strip mall, so there’s plenty of parking, but if you’re looking for ambience, this is not the place. Go for the food, not the atmosphere.

I recently started working at the chiro clinic next door and immediately had my eye on Gondolier. As someone from South Jersey, I can be pretty picky about pasta but wow, this place delivered! They make their own pasta in-house, and I was told the spaghetti and fettuccini are both homemade. I ordered the fettuccini Alfredo, and it did not disappoint. Honestly, it might be one of the best homemade pastas I’ve ever had the noodles were al dente, the sauce was rich, creamy, and spot-on. I’m definitely coming back to try the spaghett! This place is killer, you gotta try it!

Wonderful Chicken Piccata!
My partner ate here with his mother and brought me food home. The large salad was laughably small - a side salad size at best. In addition to being small it was swimming in dressing- which was not a particularly good ceaser.
Their pasta is reasonably good (made there) as was the garlic sauce.
Basically, go for the pasta, skip everything else, don't expect excellent service (I'm told perhaps the salad was so small because the incorrect size was brought but not paid for).
Great food and amazing service! Sat at the bar and the service was fantastic.
Me and my domestic partner had a wonderful 17 month anniversary here; the food and the atmosphere were just wonderful. We had the redheaded fella (Maddox?) as our server and he was just darling!
Not even close to what it used to be. Overcooked pasta, tasteless sausage, watery sauce. Sent meal back twice, then gave up. Hadn't been in a while, won't be back. This restaurant has gotten worse with age sadly.
