I am biased. I lived most of my life minutes from an ocean and freah seafood. That being said, this is still one of my favorite sushi places in Boulder. And they have quite a few really good non sushi items. Discount sushi ranks right up there with discount brain surgeon... Def not cheap, but also when is one of the best cheap? The new location is a serious upgrade in every way, except the bathroom is nolonger as funky as it once was.Vegetarian options: Quite a few very tasty veggie sushi roll options for those who dont like or can no longer eat raw fish...

Hapa Sushi Grill and Sake Bar did not disappoint. We made reservations and we were seated promptly at our reserved time. To our surprise they had a great happy hour selection so we ordered several items from that menu. The food was delicious as well as the sake. Our server was on top of it! We will definitely be back!

Hapa is always fun, vibrant, and the service is excellent. The array of food options satisfies my love of sushi and my husband's love of anything not sushi! He had the green curry bowl and I had a few specialty sushi rolls. Absolutely fabulous and the best spot to celebrate our anniversary! Thanks for a special evening! Hot Sake!

We enjoyed this place. Husband and I ate here for the first time and visited again towards the end of our trip. We enjoyed every dish we ordered. The service was always on point and great. Each dish is worth the try. The only thing inconsistency was the first time we ordered our sushi, they automatically came with wasabi. The second round of sushi we ordered didn’t have them on so maybe it was a mistake initially, but it didn’t bother us too much.

Great sushi, went here twice in a week while in town. Slightly inconsistent though as the first time the nigiri had wasabi already in it under the fish, but the second time it did not. Found this interesting. The bar tender was excellent the first time.

Hapa definitely has some of the best sushi in Boulder. I made a reservation for last night, which I highly recommend on weekends. The wait was over an hour and it was packed. ?However we were seated right away which was nice. We had some appetizers, sashimi, an orgasm roll and 4 of the happy hour sushi rolls. Between my friend and I it was $77 plus tip. I thought that was really affordable for some delicious sushi. The service was also great as always and we didn’t wait long for our food. Definitely a place I would recommend to a lot of people!

The wait staff was unfamiliar with the menu and charged for items that were included on the entree. The moshi was cheap. Provide a whole moshi not in quarters. The sale sold in a bottle not the poured fancy glass that is provided.

Service was a little slow but it was busy and the server was also the bartender. Food was good and had good presentation. It’s nice that tables are far enough together that you don’t feel like you’re on top of each other.

We've been coming to Hapa for decades. This was our first time at the new location. It was great! Food was awesome as always and service was top notch. Sasha was so personable and professional. We loved our Saturday Hapa Hour;)

It is the most average Japanese food I have ever had at an above average price. I tried both a noodle bowl, sushi and miso. The noodle bowl and miso had no flavor to it, just kinda tasted like hot water and the sushi was just bland like grocery store sushi. The atmosphere was horrible. They had a DJ who was blasting deep house club music and at an unreasonable level. I had to literally shout to talk to friends sitting directly next two me.

I like the new location. It looks a lot like their Denver locations, so it is missing a little of the original robot-party atmosphere. Much classier now with the soft woods. The atmosphere was lovely. The food was good. Service was a little slow but they were busy (surprisingly for a Sunday night, very glad we made a reservation). I always love coming to Hapa, so I'm glad the new location is still serving amazing food.

We enjoyed our time at Hapa, although we had made reservations for a birthday and this was not acknowledged whatsoever. Our table was not ready when we arrived, but one of the hosts sat us at the bar and brought out complimentary extremely salty edamame. Will probably return.
