We had an amazing sushi lunch and were serviced well by our waitress and other staff. The place was pretty busy but noise level was not high. I highly recommend.

It isn't unlike anything one could find at a food cart in an alley adjacent to a trendy underground fashion show. They cater to those that are hungry, rather than those with elevated tastes. The carrot cocktail was good, and they were friendly enough.

We had a great time there a night ago for a little celebration. Our waiter Alex was the best and even better than that was our sushi chef Victor. He was amazing and ya gotta have his Victor Cactus roll! Sit at the far right side of the sushi bar and hang with Victor and Alex. And watch out for Juan the other sushi chef, he’s a blast too.

Unfortunate experience. Enjoyed the Diablo role. The miso black cod had the most disgusting side “kelp salad”. Everyone felt ill after our meal... wait staff was so slow and inattentive. Would not return.

Japango is an elegant Japanese restaurant on Pearl Street serving up the best sushi I have ever had. The ambiance is lovely, they have a tank of jellyfish in the middle of the restaurant which is so unique. Our favorite starters were the beef tataki and the hamachi jalapeño. We had an assortment of other nigiri which were all so fresh and delicious. Even the simple tuna and salmon rolls we had were fantastic because of the quality of the fish here. The service was excellent, everything came out quickly and the waiter was quick to fill our water and pour us some hot sake!
I definitely recommend Japango if you’re looking for sushi in Boulder!
Victor at Japango in Boulder is absolutely fantastic. He was incredibly interactive, welcoming, and genuinely kind, which made the entire experience even better. You can tell he truly cares about both his craft and the guests he serves. The sushi was beautifully prepared, fresh, and delicious, and Victor’s energy made it fun and memorable. If you’re dining at Japango, definitely sit with Victor—you won’t be disappointed.

We were put out the very back by the toilets and the back door. Zero ambiance and quite cold. The food was good but the surroundings ruined the experience.

hands down best service i've ever had in a restaurant !! I love sitting at the sushi bar while solo traveling and was excited to see how genuinely the sushi chefs wanted to share recommendations/make small talk with guests. special shoutouts to Victor, Gio, Cody, and Jorge who were all so friendly and made some incredible rolls & nigiri. Victor even gave me extra sauces after I asked what would be great with the roll.
Jenny, my server for the night, was so helpful with recommendations and checked in on me lots throughout my dinner :) had a really wonderful time here AND the sushi was great - I'll be back!
