6/28/25 We got vegan brunch food, which is what we wanted, and it tasted fine! They massively upcharged for plant-based milk and vegan cheese, which was not specified in the menu, so we were upset about that. We got the smothered burrito (which picky, nonvegan mother enjoyed), the pancake breakfast (pancakes were tiny, "bacon" was not at all like bacon, and the scramble was completely tasteless!!!), and the burger, which tasted good. Service was decent as well. It was nice to find a place with vegan food here, as there weren't many options. Updated from previous review on 2025-07-19
Great service, spacious, food was served quickly, crab cake sandwich and pandan banana tart were delicious, the soup was decent. Portions were on the smaller side.
Delicious and creative dishes. Everything was VERY clearly marked on the menu and the server was lovely. I got the Benedict on cornbread (brilliant idea IMO) made vegan (with tofu). So good! That blackberry lemonade was also a treat. Definitely suggest vegans stop by when in Boulder. ❤️
Pleasant setting. It was a lovely summer day, so most people sat outside. I had a wrap. I liked that I could choose fruit as a side for no extra cost. The fruit that day was a cup of fresh berries. My partner had the huevos rancheros which was 10/10.
I wouldn’t come here if you are dieting or counting calories or bulking for that matter. It seems like the opposite of what you would expect but let me explain. Unfortunately the menu doesn’t have calories for any of the meals. I tried looking up online on their website and I still couldn’t get an answer so I just have to assume. Meals have pretty low protein content for most options. With the tofu and egg in my bibimbap I would assume it has about 10g of protein LOL (6 for egg and tofu honestly has relatively low content vs meat and they only give you like half a serving so = 4-6g). You should be getting about 40-70g per meal, for me…. 180g a day. I know vegetarian is not synonymous with low calorie, although in my mind and my personal cooking it is. Kinda disappointed not to see at minimum the calories for meals for a health conscious place.
My food was ok. I think it could’ve needed way more salt and seasoning bc it did seem a bit bland. I was surprised to see they charge $15 for their burrata flatbread. But they don’t even give you that much burrata. Should give you like 3 full size burrata but it seems they only give you one, kinda insane for that price ngl.
Ordered take out. Hair right on the top of my salad that I noticed immediately upon opening. The steak wasn’t good anyway but this completely ruined the meal
Excellent atmosphere , we liked real plants, lights, and music. Great service.
We ordered orange cauliflower, lapsang souchong bbq, szechuan glass noodles, tahini ranch large salad, and greek nachos.
Everything was so delicious, we loved your service and food.
Do’t forget carrot cake
What can I say about Leaf that hasn’t already been said… This place is a must-visit for the plant-based foodie visiting Boulder. It’s an old-guard, veggie-forward establishment here in the People’s Republic. The belle of the ball is the buffalo cauliflower taco. It’s been on the menu for at least a decade and subsists back to the old location less than a block away. Back in my day, you could get a plate of three for $10 (though you had to walk barefoot uphill through a snowstorm both ways to get them). Now they’re 4.50 apiece, but have never failed to please these buds. You’d be remiss to visit and at least not try one.
We were excited to try this vegetarian restaurant- we got the onigiri appetizer which was fine, but nothing to phone home about. I ordered the lions mane steak. Expecting a decent sized mushroom with sauce. Instead I got around 3 standard size mushrooms atop a strange risotto. Pretty disappointing for 22 dollars.
My girlfriend was excited to try the sesame tofu, which was a very small portion (1 piece of tofu over a smear of mashed potatoes) and the tofu was also quite burnt, and she left hungry and disappointed. However, the melon spritz was delicious.
Overall, all the food we got was under seasoned, room temperature, and small portions. We really wanted to like this place but unfortunately we won’t be returning.
Nothing makes me happier than finding an incredible vegetarian/vegan restaurant with a great atmosphere and fantastic food. I came for brunch while visiting Boulder and everything was delicious and the staff were so friendly.

The concept of an entirely-vegan restaurant sounded like a dream when we found this place online as soon as we landed in Colorado. This is the best restaurant I have been to, vegan or not.
Ambiance is incredibly aesthetic yet not overdone. Service was incredibly fast and kind, and they took the time to explain the dishes. No food was left on the table when we were done. 100% recommend.
I had the lapsang souchong bbq which had a delicious blueberry bbq sauce and corn bread made inside a husk and loved the flavors. For lunch the next day I took the Jamaican jerk tempeh and also really loved the flavors. They also have some beers on tap
The food was good, but they didn't have what we wanted on 2 different occasions (and we only went twice) the Jamaican jerk Tempeh was a bit much in flavor, but not in amount. Definitely left hungry. The Tuscan garden I didn't get a pic of but that was probably my favorite.
Sliders were awse too! Great service!
