Went to License No 1 last Friday for a comedy show. We enjoyed a drink in the speakeasy area before the show. The ambience was really nice. The comedy show was great - a few openers and then the headliner. Great place for a date night!

Very fine cocktails from the bar, low-ceilinged brick with dim, warm lights; speakeasy feel.

Intimate comedy space; strange because the comic cannot face the majority of the audience at once. About 20 attendees. 3 comics and a host. The openers leaned on body humor and identity politics, no different from anywhere else. Headliner was a bit of a Hedbergian, which was delightful.

Great experience, I'd return in a heartbeat!

I went to Comic Cents at License No. 1 for the first time a couple weeks ago and had such a great experience. The speakeasy vibe is really cool, the drinks were excellent, and the comedy show had us laughing the whole time. The space is intimate and fun, which made the show even better. Overall, License No. 1 is an awesome spot for a night out. After the comedy show, we had so much fun watching the band in the back room and enjoyed more delicious cocktails. I highly recommend Comic Cents and License No. 1 for a night out in Boulder!

Comic Cents, the comedy club in the back, is cozy, chill and a great place to spend an evening.

Bald guy bartender, sorta tall with the big beard..... arrogant, egotistical, going through the motions.... almost left because of him. Alex, the other bartender, super nice, genuine, informative. Stayed and will be back because of him.

Good vibes. Nikki is cool - she remembers you, but also doesn’t.

The Comic cents comedy show is one of the best local deals. They always have great local talent and also really good headliners! The ambience and food/drink quality is excellent too!

Im a disabled and nearly deaf veteran who was the sober companion for two female college aged friends and the doorguy kicked me out of the club for no reason other than not showing him respect... I couldn't hear him after entering the club and tried to explain this... even after showing my retired military ID and my friends trying to explain that I was thier sober companion and was not drinking at all that night. Neither him nor the floor manager were willing to listen. Willing to share my credentials with anyone interested in this story. Do not go here to drink if you are a younger attractive female, they do not want you to be chaperoned or safe. They want you unprotected and spending money on drinks and available for CU fractions to hit on. No class. No soul.

Lovely drinks—but mean young male bouncer who kicked my sober boyfriend out because he was tall and deaf and didn’t hear him the first time. Boyfriend was our DD and was coming to check on me and my friend. Too bad, decent ambience too.
