Hubs and I came to Boulder today to tour Liberty Puzzles and wanted a reasonable lunch place. We landed on Masons cause we wanted something a little different. I'm vegan but hubs isn't so we're always on the lookout for places that give both options. edamame - just ok. Needs salt and/or spice. Pork dumplings- hubs loved. Mason’s makes the best dumplings and Chinese noodles I’ve had in Colorado! Given it’s a chain, it’s even more impressive! However, it took us 45min to get all our orders and the wood-ear mushroom appetizer actually arrived the last! It was lunch hour on a Thursday with a packed shop and it appears only 2 staff were working. Not sure if it’s a one-off crazy time. Finding parking was also very difficult.

Great dumpling spot! The flavors were surprisingly authentic. Seaweed salad had yummy Szechuan flavors. Boiled and panfried dumps were very good. Noodles in broth was great. Xiao long bao (crab) we're just okay, but everything else made up for it.
