The food is absolutely fantastic. Best pizza I’ve ever eaten. However, the last time I dined, the service was uncomfortably rushed from the moment we were seated. Dishes were being stripped away from us while we were still bringing food to our mouth. Our appetizers were cleared as we were reaching for food from the plate. Unconscionable! I will think twice before I bring guests here again, it was that bad. I would say that maybe the restaurant had our table for 4 reserved...
Damn good pizza. Crust is definitely a bomb ending. It's the kind of pie you share with another and enjoy the creative toppings combinations. Under needs a little more crisp but whatever. Really good, go enjoy.
My experience is definitely clouded by the fact that it's previous incarnation (Pizzeria Locale) was perhaps my favorite restaurant in Boulder. Alberico is similar...but the pizza wasn't as good (the crust seems thicker, a big chunk of buffalo mozz was literally plopped cold in the middle of the pizza, the calabrian chili oil was a little watery and not as flavorful) and the service was meh. I felt like the waiter was annoyed I was there. The overall vibe/crowd was OK....
