This is permanently closed. Did not survive covid
Excellent food, service and variety . Reasonable prices. Loved sitting outdoors watching the activity on Pearl St. I sadly saw a For Lease sign in the window; is Riff’s closing for good???
The food is always well prepared and delicious, staff members hands over fantastic service. I really like how neat it is and mood. Highly recommended.
The fries were good. Overall I thought it was a good dish but I would have liked a bit more seasoning. According to the menu the aioli had horseradish but I didn't taste it. I also didn't notice the promised red onion marmalade. I could see some cooked red onions but that was it. Recommend. amazing
While I had been to Riffs before, I had not dined there with my husband and our dining companions for the evening. I am happy to report, it held up to expectations. My friend and I started off by choosing a cocktail aptly named “dazed and confused.” It was fruity and strong at the same time. At my suggestion, we ordered the brussels sprouts, which came roasted and delicately flavored. They were an instant hit. Besides the brussels sprouts, the star of the evening was the lamb entree, served as a double loin, and almost big enough for two. Luckily, we had filled up on beet salad and the brussels sprouts. (Have I mentioned the brussels sprouts?) The dessert was not to be ignored; a flourless chocolate cake drizzled with strawberry coulis which melted in our mouths. We happily indulged, even though we could not eat one more bite. Throughout our meal, Riffs offered good service and fun ambiance. It was busy but not loud. Riffs is a great place for a causal yet delicious dinner. Make a reservation, especially for a Saturday night, since it fills up quickly.
We came to this spot for lunch. we heard about this spot from quite a few people. Well, we were not disappointed. The staff were very polite and we felt excellent. The meal was tasty. We loved this spot a lot and we will definitely return to this restaurant. Warmly recommended.
We had a fantastic meal. The server recommended the Brussel sprouts and I’m so glad she did! There were the best I EVER had! I had a special with salmon and my partner had the salmon cedar plank. Oh.... so yummy! I fully recommend!
Food was excellant, artic char was amazing - highly recommend! Also had mixed green salad (very fresh with a wonderful dressing) and salmon - not quite as good as the char but close. A baked apple dessert had good flavor but really needed to be baked about another 10 minutes. Good wine selection and great service. It is a bit noisy with all of that hardscaping.
Awesome bar staff! Grilled avocado is superb!
I have been going to Riff's for many years. It is always very good, has great service and is a good value. It is quite a find on Boulder's Pearl Street Mall. Highly recommended.

I enjoyed my meal and experience here, but I have a couple of minor complaints. The water was warm and although I made mention of this, I did not receive a glass of ice. More importantly, the soap in the bathroom was very perfumed. I washed twice once I got home trying to remove the offensive scent, but my hands still reeked of the smell.
This was a family outing for lunch so we ordered a variety of entrees and each one had fantastic flavor and presentation. The portion sizes were vastly different...for example the Cubano was enormous and we took the other half home. The pasta (no photo) was right sized and it was enough for each of us to take a bite and my mom finished the rest, but the trout was small sized and my daughter ordered a side of bread because she was still hungry after eating it. Overall the taste was delicious on each meal and the flavors were well blended. I also love how the menu describes the “riffmaster” for the day. A personal touch. The superstar was our waiter...honestly, one of the best servers ever. He was attentive, detailed, and gave a great description of each meal. They don’t have a cappuccino machine, but I have to say the brewed coffee was strong and delicious.
We came during restaurant week where the menu was limited to the chef chosen items. It was a very good selection and the fixed price was a good value. The atmosphere is a little noisy and fairly casual, which doesn't line up as well with the general pricing. All in all we enjoyed our evening and our food.
It felt like they had an army of people refilling water and clearing plates, but we waited 20 minutes between when we ordered and getting our drinks. Then another 20 to order our food... then it seemed like it was 20 minutes between each course. The server dropped the dessert menu, then waited 15 minutes to come back and take the order. Our dinner was soooo long. I'd not have ordered three courses if I'd know how long it'd be between each one.
We went for Denver Restaurant week and extremely pleased. The atmosphere is open and warm. Service was kind and informative. The courses were beautiful and flavorful. We couldn't even finish it all there was so much food. I will definitely be going back. Amazing variety on cocktails and desserts too
